I've had their cell service for over 25 years. The service itself is good, have never had many issues. Their billing though is a completely different story. There have been multiple times they have incorrectly billed our account, causing us disconnects (that shouldn't have happened in the first place), and then charging a reconnection fee.
Now about their home internet. I was told I qualified for the fastest package based on my location. I get the package, and have been using it. And I'd almost rather go back to dial up when it comes to ping on some days. Download rate varies greatly depending on the time of day and weather.
Even with some bandwidth limiting, when users on other devices start using bandwidth, it will often disconnect other devices on the network
I'm lucky to receive 1/3 of the speed they boast, and as soon as the contract is done on this service, It's getting canceled and I will NEVER use US cellular internet again.
Only get this service if you're willing to have to reset your modem nearly daily, Don't mind wandering around your house holding something up to a window and waiting for someone to tell you the speedtest went ok, enjoy reattaching the internet receiver to your window because the heat from the sun on the window causes the adhesive to fail, and want a drafty window in one room of your house since you have to run a wire under it to install this internet properly
EDIT: Almost forgot to mention the low range on the router they provide. The PS5 is less than 20 feet away from the router, not a single item/wall between the PS5 and the router, and the PS5 is only getting about 50% signal. 55 minutes later, the store was filled with 5 of us waiting while he chatted with the first customer. Another customer asked, "Is there just one of you?" And the response was, "yes." He explained that the MANAGER was interviewing at another store and decided to stay there instead. Whatever troubleshooting they were doing was with the camera, and the customer could have cared less there were several others waiting. Also, seating for the disabled would have been nice as well. There were several crammed onto the two stools, which by the way, are too low for some elderly to rise up from a seated position. We are considering switching carriers at this point t because this store is always understaffed.
