Friends of the Library Used Book Store — Local services in Boothbay Harbor

Although we've visited Boothbay twice in the last three years, I still haven't managed to time a visit to the harbor/shopping area to when this book shop is open also. However, on our last visit, I did a smidge more research & found that the porch books are available for purchase 24/7 by donation - HOW FUN! 🤗

Upon visiting the porch, I found that they had books that they claim they don't accept by donation on the porch (an atlas, cookbooks), which was funny. Ended up with one non-fiction read & an atlas that was published before I was born (we love flipping through old maps) & left a donation. Can't wait to time a visit to when they're open the next time we're visiting...

A used book shop that supports the library (and is next to it). The shop itself has an excellent selection of used books at very reasonable prices. The porch outside has lots of books too; the porch operates on the honor system, and appears to be always open (I'm not sure if it's stocked out-of-season, though). All books on the porch are 25 cents apiece. Pay by putting money in the tube that's in the door to the right. I've often found great books...

If you a visiting Booth Bay this used bookstore is a must stop place. The prices are fantastic and you can meander around the cozy shelves looking for the literary treasure of your pleasing.
