Oasis Day Spa — Local services in Boothbay Harbor

"Spa" is term that I would not use for this establishment. The atmosphere was completely unprofessional with the women that worked there running around doing each other’s make-up and gossiping more than talking and engaging their clients. I am getting married in Boothbay harbor. After calling around to the few places in Boothbay Oasis was one of the few that would take a wedding party. I thought I would save some money by going to a salon instead of hiring someone to come to us. I went for my trial for hair and make-up and was extremely disappointed. The girl that did my hair led me away from the style I had told her I wanted. They gave me a style that I was semi happy with at first. After leaving the whole thing fell out. Bobby pins were landing on the ground all around me! As for make-up their girl had no idea how to apply the fake eyelashes I wanted to wear on my wedding day. In addition all her make-up was from the local drugstore. Don't get me wrong I buy products from the drugstore myself but if I am going to a professional salon I expect professional salon quality products, as well as a professionally trained make-up artist. I could see this being acceptable if they had discounted rates but their prices are on par with what I pay at high end salons. Needless to say I will not be going to get my hair and make-up done here on my big day. It is costing me the same amount of money to bring my hairstylist with a make-up artist from Portland, ME. They both work at very nice salons where the quality...

I went in for a basic pedicure and was treated rudely by the woman doing my nails - she kept stopping to look at her phone, kept giving pointed looks and eye rolls to her co-worker in front of me, etc. - and she worked way too fast for the amount of money they charged. In addition, the three women who worked there had an entire conversation about shooting dogs and perpetuated incorrect myths about pit bulls - it got to the point where I was considering walking out the door mid-polish. I never post reviews, but the experience at this place was so atrocious that I want to warn everyone to avoid it...

Very high quality place, the owner did my nails and paid very close attention to detail. Shop is beautiful, well organized, and very aestheticly pleasing. A LARGE selection of regular and gel polish. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area needing to get your...
