This was my first visit to Saltgrass Steakhouse. We were seated fast there was not one really in the restaurant. When we walked in I noticed a bunch of employees standing in one area talking . Luke was our server. He was very helpful. Brought us extra bread and butter & me extra lemons. He was very knowledgeable of the menu. He was very quick wirh taking our empty plates off our table and with our food orders. The fried pickles and peppers were hot and fresh and extra crispy they were perfect! The bread and butter were right out the oven and was really good. He gave us and update on our food. We had a loaded baked potato soup. The soup was so thick and creamy. Probably the best loaded baked potato soup. We both god New York strip and loaded potato it was amazing. I don’t like the garlic butter on the steak so if you don’t like it either make sure to ask for steak without it. I just scrapped my off and the steak will still good. The potato was one of the better ones I would say. The asparagus are oven roasted with seasoning and they were delicious. When I went to the restroom the kitchen was a little dirty & the lock in the womens first stall was broken and it looks like they tried to fix it but it didn’t line up so I had to hold the door, the second stall was not usable and the other two were taken. The best part about our experience was Luke and the food. Would defiantly come back I had a good first experience. Luke was defiantly very attentive and did an impeccable job. I am very pleased with the service that was provided.

Well first off, Derrick. Man I can’t say enough about this guy, he’s the manager working on Mon when we got there , I had even asked him if he was going to be there all night.. apparently he had been there since 5am.. so smart and definitely knows his stuff on the inside and outs about Saltgrass. Saltgrass owners should definitely give him a raise!! I love how just by him looking at me he can tell how my day was going.. that’s awesome in my eyes on knowing your customers.. Gabe was one of our servers for the night, I will say he was such a delight to talk to and watching him communicate with the people that came in to dine was awesome. I’m all about giving due to when it’s due, he definitely made his wings on Monday night! I went into an area to write a review where it was quiet, and watched the bartender Daniel Hill, he was very attentive and always was asking people if they needed anything.. are if they were ok, in my eyes a server should always do that.. he never stopped moving.. but actually I didn’t see any servers are the the kitchen ever stop, they worked there little booties off.. even watched Marcus the night manager go and help in the kitchen.. 👏🏼👏🏼, hey and I will always give a shout out to another server they have there it’s my little beautiful Tye Clark, she wasn’t our server that night.. but love watching her magic, she’s beautiful inside and out! So thank you Saltgrass for a wonderful experience that night.. definitely will be back soon!!

I want to start off by saying our waitress, BAILEY was phenomenal! She was very attentive, had a great attitude, fixed our appetizer immediately when it was missing something, and even complimented me on how great I looked. It’s very rare that we’re blown away by a waitress, but she’s definitely one of these few times. Great job, girl! Keep it up! 5/5 So far as the food goes, we were very unimpressed (especially considering how expensive our meal was)! We could’ve gotten way better food for literally half the price somewhere else. Appetizer- The bread was a bit hard to cut, but came with one of those sweet and warm whipped butters. The baked potato soup was a very odd consistency, spicy, and the chunks of potatoes were left so large that I needed a knife to cut them. The Cesar salad was average. Queso tasted good, but came out cold and missing the brisket. 3/5 Dinner- My filet was about the only thing that tasted good. However, I ordered it “medium and it was definitely given to me “rare”. The mashed potatoes were not whipped- but this weird baked dish that had bacon on it. It was also cold and very day. The macaroni and cheese side was just.. off. I think they used a lighter cheese than what you’re suppose to. The only other item that was good was a piece of grilled shrimp on top of his steak. 2/5 considering we paid $30 per entrée. Drinks- both of ours needed to be mixed. The presentation was very pretty, but the drinks themselves were just alright. About $9 for a mixed drink each. 3/5 Overall- unimpressed. We also thought this would be a fancy restaurant for date night. We even dressed up a bit, only to see other customers in sweats and with screaming children. In reality, it’s just a less rowdy Texas Roadhouse. Our friends said they were disappointed by this place, and they were right. We will not return because of the high price and low quality of food. I would honestly rate this place 2/5, but I’m giving it an extra star because of Bailey. I can’t emphasize enough how great she was. I wish the restaurant’s food was at her level!

The food is good. The service sucks. I felt sorry for the lady who finally served me, because I could not bring myself to leave a tip. If they had offered me a free appetizer or something, I would have. First, I called about 10 minutes ahead and was told they had a table and seats at the bar. When I got there only the bar was available, supposedly. I saw plenty of open tables. Maybe they were short staffed. The place I took at the almost full bar had the last customers dirty dishes. I sat there for about 5 minutes with no acknowledgement from staff. Finally the bar tender asked what I wanted. I asked to move to an open table right behind me because "I'm having trouble getting served." She gave me a dirty look but let me move. Then I had another long wait. I finally got up and asked the host to send a server over. The service at Saltgrass in North Little Rock is excellent. Too bad the Bossier Shreveport branch falls short. The picture is taken after my meal. Still, it was not soooo busy. *****UPDATE: When I walked out, the poor overworked waitress found the time to follow me outside and yell, "thank you lady" waving the receipt.

May 17, 2024, I enjoyed eating at Saltgrass Steak House in the Bossier City Boardwalk. I ordered the Pork Chop. It was thick, but tenderized, grilled to perfection with just the right flavor. No need for any steak sauce. It was PERFECTLY seasoned. The loaded baked potato complimented the pork chop nicely. It comes with the choice of a fresh salad or potato soup. The potato soup was good, but then I noticed the salads, advertise advertise !! I regret not choosing their fresh salads. Nice colorful, nice portion size. Warm Bread on the table with creamy butter. The waiter recommended the Pork Chop and it was in point. Great Cook 👍🏾. Everyone that works there were extremely friendly. We were there for a graduate student party, they allowed for decorations. There must have been at least 50 of us there and everyones food came out perfectly. On point, hot and delicious. The bar was amazing too. The bartender even made beautiful fruity virgin drinks that was absolutely delicious. This was my first visit, I do plan to eat there again and bring more family and friends with me. I rate this restaurant 5 stars rating ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ .

Went to Saltgrass in Bossier, LA on a Sunday at 630PM. Ordered a chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes only to find out 20 minutes later they were out of the chicken fried steak. So I reluctantly changed to chicken fried chicken. About 45 minutes later I was informed they were all of sudden out of mashed potatoes so had to change to baked potato. When the food eventually arrived it looked like they put a chicken patty from WalMart on the plate and put gravy on it. The waiter just justified it as sometimes they are that size and acted like he didn’t even care. Never really had a problem at Saltgrass but this has left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended. I’ve literally seen bigger pieces of chicken on a Burger King sandwich. You’ll also notice that the end pieces are nothing but crust.
