My son purchased a pair of $44 White Liz Claiborne pants for me for my birthday and lost the receipt. I tried to exchange the pants because they did not fit and I did not care for the style. I went JCP in Bossier City, LA to see if I could exchange them for another pair. The store clerk at the cash register told me they could only give me $4 because I had no receipt! OMG! I was furious.
So I either lose the $44 or get $4 or spend another $44 dollars to get the pants I like which would end up costing almost $100 in the end? You know JCP would put the pants back on the rack and sell again for the $44 plus tax. Selling the pants twice! What kind of system is this? I've exchanged things without a receipt to other stores and was given a store credit or was able to exchange the pants? I was not asking for any monies back. I just wanted a different pair and style.
I was told I'd hear back from the store manager, but it's been a week and apparently, customer service means nothing and they could care less. Note: My son is a young man who was trying get a gift for his mother for her birthday, he was all excited that he was able to purchase the gift on his own and used his own money. He didn't keep the receipt nor did he read the return policy, why should he; he was all proud he bought a gift for mom on his own and that was the only thing on his mind. Read moreI have been shopping at this location for over 12 years! They have always had great plus size selection and always able to find some kind of great deal! Well, the weekend we met Lonnie in jewelry and Dajae in customer service, checking us out was a great shopping day! Lonnie was so patient, kind and just a great guy that assisted me in finding a new gold chain and because of him showing us everything I requested and took the time, I found a beautiful pendant as well! The older lady with the chic short haircut that helped Lonnie was also terrific! So Lonnie told us about the sale the next day, we'll that's when we met Dajae! DaJae was so kind and friendly and so happy she checked us out and got the line moving! She was quick, yet able to talk, get us the discount, and move us along with a smile! We are from Houston, have shopped in Houston, Katy, Austin, Pearland, and I just appreciate how the customer service was so nice and informative! Management needs to recognize the 3 people in my review because they sure bring the best customer service to promote the JCPenny brand the way I know it used to be!!! I will see ya'll again!!
