IHOP — Restaurant in Bossier City

Me and my family were quite excited to go to a place to eat, but we were sadly left at dismay as soon as we noticed these few details. We sat at a table after waiting a few minutes to enter into the main area to which everyone eats at, but we noticed an displeasing thing about where we had sat at. As we waited for the waiter to come and take our orders, it came to our attention multiple insects had been crawling amongst our table" we immediately requested to be moved, and so they complied. It'd have at first gone well, no more troubles with these disgusting deapitzing insects. For the most part that is. We soon got our food after placing in the orders that we could not place due to the previous conflict. And when they came, this had became truly more shocking. The situation had took a whole different prowess, after my grandchild had screamed out watching a bug crawl upon his food and the plate. We immediately told the manager then she said that "Are you sure it's not black pepper" after seeing that it was moving, and took our leave. As a side note, some floors had been left uncleaned some areas at least, and there was still dirty areas around the seats, to which I kept to my self so that aggressive verbal communication could not take place. I don't mean to downplay or ruin their business, but if read by then I hope you make some type of change to the hygienic department of your facilitation. I most likely will never eat at another IHOP again, and this has changed my overall view of food places as a whole. Thank-you for hearing...

Let me start by saying, Michelle is the best waitress. She is extremely friendly. Smiles and works hard to remember her customers. I have even talked to other customers while waiting that specifically ask for Michelle and they say it’s for the same reason. Her service is absolutely superb!

Today went ,Michelle took our order as she normally does, her demeanor was the same but we noticed someone else bought the order to the table. The order was incorrect and she didn’t even seem to know what we ordered. She stated she was going to go talk to Michelle but showed no concern and didn’t apologize for the mistake. I assume she spoke with Michelle but she still repeated it wrong. The manager was standing off to the side, never apologized, no interaction whatsoever so ever so I stated we will just leave. He didn’t even try to make it right.

This was quite disappointing because it’s somewhere we typically visit after church on Sunday’s and today it seemed like there were just too many people involved in one order. This an order we get every Sunday. Disappointing !

Again, Michelle provided superior service. If you go there ask for her.

The atmosphere was different today, there seem to be multiple people involved which had an impact on the atmosphere and level of satisfaction.

After this disappointing moment. We left and went across the street to Waffle House.

Oh please let me tell you about our visit with our wonderful waitress Ms Tamika D. Let me start by telling you I have been in the Management/Customer Service/Food Service since I was 17 years old. I am 55 now and I am a stickler for good service, food quality, cleanliness and such. Upon entering the floor was not sticky, always a good sign of the cleanliness of the store, as mopping is usually the last item of the cleaning that we are able to get to. Soon as we approached the counter we were greeted with the most joyous voice and beautiful smile that even made her eyes sparkle. We asked if we could be placed in a back corner somewhere as we knew we would be visiting for a spell. Ms Tamika was able to address and satisfy all of our needs. We needed our coffee urn refilled twice, and Ms Tamika never let it run dry. She would come and top us off and return with a fresh pot. Our good was cooked perfto our needs and the temperature was excellent. Thank you to the kitchen staff for your due diligence. Ms Tamika checked on us just enough to keep us taken care of without being overbearing. This young lady deserves to be recognized for her excellent customer service skills as well as showing a constant state of staying busy and taking care of her side chores as well as her customers. I will be back to this location, but yes I will be calling first to make sure my favorite waitress will be there to wait on me. I am spoilt now and wish to remain that way.
