I have told myself multiple times that I needed to get consistency. I liked working out but I didn’t have a good aim or vehicle to get me to my goals. That is where JET Boston changed things. They are 15 minutes from my job on the way home. I have worked with private trainers before but I have not had the awesome camaraderie that comes with working out with the Flight program. The instructors are welcoming and supportive. They give clear direction and with a class size of 4, you never feel lost in the crowd. I started in January of this year (2023) trying to make a resolution to get to my goal weight having just completed my doctoral degree and having packed on a lot of weight! I was at my heaviest 240lbs and feeling it in my health, even sneezing sometimes was painful. I am closing in on finishing two cycles of Flight and I am down 15lbs overall with a dramatic decrease in visceral fat percentage (10 down to 7), Increase in lean muscle (184-190 lbs), body fat down (17% to 15.6%) decrease in BMI (32 to 29) and over all body proportion improved! Most helpful is the app it tracks your weights so you can see the gains made weekly. Also, it connects with nutrition apps like MyFitness app. The dietary changes are non-restrictive. It focuses on healthy nutrition/lifestyle choices versus “dieting”. My ultimate goal for the end of this year is get down between 200-210 lbs. I cannot wait to post my start of the year photos next to end of the year photos! Two cycles are left this year! Read moreJ.E.T. Boston has been life changing for me. It's so much more than weight training and weight loss. It's a bigger picture. It's the experience of the team, no, the family. They're the best of the best. It's the app. It's the mind and body workout. It's the facility. It's the In Body. If you don't know what that is, you're working out at the wrong place. My personal experience in 3 months has been 13 pounds of weight loss...mostly body fat. It's how strong I feel when I'm done. It's learning to workout properly. It's having arthritis and not leaving there in pain. It's doing jumping jacks for the first time in years. It's was so amazing, I cried. My trainer Danielle cried too! I love her. Shes a beast! I owe so much to her. Shes learned me and knows when to push harder or not to do so because my mind is not ready. My boxing with Kirby is awesome. I had no idea that it would work my body and mind. He pushes me to be better and has taught me so much. I love the praise from he and Danielle when you do well. Last but not least...Geoff, the owner extraordinaire! From the black and gold facility to the music, and constant upgrades. He's a motivator and your biggest fan. And, he's not just that way with clients, he's like that with his trainers. Read moreI was never really a fit /athletic person. I did not get into fitness until about 6 years ago. There have many hurtles along the way but now I feel stronger than ever. Since joining JET in January 2022, I have reached goals that I had never thought imaginable for myself. Throughout my journey, I have lost motivation so many times. One of the main things JET has inspired me to do was to be intentional. It is not a sprint it is a marathon. Making small decisions every day leads to overall success. The road is not linear. When motivation fluctuates, habit has kept me going. While my results are a driving force to keep going, some of the biggest things I have gotten out of this experience is support and confidence. Even though I may struggle with motivation alone, I have felt support by all of the team members at JET in immeasurable ways. The atmosphere that has been created through the trainers and clientele is unlike any other I have experienced in a fitness environment. The team members are some of the most amazing people I have met. The one-on-one training is such an personal, unique experience.
