I spent MANY years contributing to this one particular restaurant. And were talking over 30 years! 20 years i had been gone but every time I visit Boston, I make sure I patronize them. And they knew this! I bragged about this place in the new state I lived in AND TOLD THEM! In fact, I am responsible for people coming in town and eating there! And yes the food is fair. BUT...BUT the hospitality IS SO POOR!
I needed to use the phone one day because my vehicle needed a jump! My cell phone was dead! AND THIS IS A TERRIBLE NEIGHBORHOOD! I was totally stuck in their parking lot and had told them prior that I had moved out of state and had not been there for many years. They KNEW THIS AND WAS COMPLETELY AWARE that I was from out of town! Therefore, I needed and deserved help. However, they REFUSED to let me call for help! And worst! They would not even dial the number for me!
After patronizing them for well over 30 years I decided to NEVER visit them ever again! THEY HAVE GOTTEN RICH BECAUSE OF ME AND MY ENTIRE FAMILY AND WOULD NOT GRANT ME HELP WITH JUST A PHONE CALL THAT WOULD NOT DO ANY HARM WHATSOEVER TO THEM!
My thoughts are, they are cold, heartless and extremely ungrateful of my patronizing them. And they have very poor hospitality!...
Read moreWe are from out of town and grabbed some Chinese since this was on our way.
Honestly probably the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. They use a weird spice in their egg rolls and it’s so strong it’s hardly edible. My MIL ordered a chicken and veggie dish and it was NOT edible. The chicken was straight rubber. You couldn’t even chew it and that’s not an exaggeration. Most Chinese takeout places have a slightly rubbery texture but this was so bad we thought it was a root at first but it was the chicken.
I have a very high spice tolerance and order hot at most Indian places but the general tso’s chicken was so spicy no one could eat it.
The “large” portions were also not very large. If you’re very hungry, it’s barely enough to share between 2 adults.
If it wasn’t such a pain to drive all the food back to the location we would have wanted a full refund because everything we...
Read moreThe Peking house.....hmmm. let me just say I believe everyone in town goes to the Peking house. The food is always...and I can say that again the food is always fresh you can taste it as you're eating it the chicken wings are the best and fresh they don't leave it out sitting in the air then fry it when an order is put in like other restaurants do. The rice is freshly made not 2 to 3 day old rice like other restaurants. The service is great There is never a line there is always a smile when the order is being taken and the atmosphere is fine you go in order your meal pay for it you can wait in the store or wait in your car which is great. Ohh I forgot to mention they have a clean clean glass when ordering so after you order you can see them cooking your food. They don't hide behind the glass not wanting you to see what is being cooked. I'll continue to buy my meals here they...
