For the past 5 years I have only had my hair done by Sahara. To say that she just does my hair would be an understatement. Her perception, expertise, and outstanding service has made her a vital part of lifting me up, and making me feel at my best. I also get my hair dyed from her, and she is extremely astute and an incredible consultant for what would make a person shine. The color (a beautiful red with copper undertones) fades beautifully, and it is a consistent, incredible coloring that maintains high vibrance and shine. On top of all of this, Sahara is incredibly emotionally intelligent. She is able to make you feel calm and supportive. She has a personal relationship with all her clients because she genuinely cares. Her work demonstrates not only incredible talent but also love. She's truly a healer, and I can say that this is the best customer service and hair treatment I have ever received. During this quarantine, my hair has been in need of some TLC. As soon as possible, I scheduled for a haircut with Sahara. I've been a client for nearly 5 years, and there's no one else I'd trust my hair with. Getting my haircut during a pandemic had me feeling nervous, but I was so impressed by Sahara's firm safety regulations, and attention to cleanliness. The entire boutique salon was disinfected before I arrived (she was just finishing up the floor bleach clean when I entered). We both kept our masks on the entire appointment, and Sahara clearly stated what safety precautions we would both be expected to take before I even stepped foot in her salon (masks, avoid touching face, hand sanitizing, etc.)

Focusing less on the pandemic, I should add that Sahara is one of the warmest and kind hearted hair dressers around. Her salon is filled with positivity, trust, and happiness. She is professional, and gives every client their dream hair experience... so much so that we don't want to leave! I desperately needed a haircut and had been walking by SAS Salon for a few weeks so I decided to call up on a Monday. Sahara said she could take me, but wanted me to come earlier because she had another client after... She likes to take her time, get to know you and give you the haircut that you want. I walked in and was greeted by Sahara and was offered tea, cookies and wine (I accepted all 3). We talked about what style I was thinking and she helped give me ideas of what to do. We decided collaboratively because I didn't have much of an idea of what I wanted. She shampooed, conditioned and put a mask on my hair, then we headed back to the chair. She was meticulous and made sure I knew what she was doing the entire haircut. She wanted to make sure it was exactly how I wanted! Even before styling, my hair looked AMAZING. Her techniques were different than any other stylist I have been to, but they really work. I will be going back to Sahara as long as I live in Boston.
