Review for: pistachio and hazelnut ice cream (or rather à la pistachio and à la hazelnut) Experience: nice stuff, however; you cannot get samples (and now I think I know why) TASTE: pistachio ice cream DID NOT taste like pistachio and hazelnut tasted like stale hazelnut (so we might forgive since hazelnuts handling and processing might be tricky) Comment: I judge an ice cream place based on pistachio ice cream. I can get a sample of that flavor and I can predict what kind of quality of ice cream I will get. Here I couldn't get a sample but hey, I'm around an Italian neighborhood so why would I even have any doubts. I was wrong: the pistachio ice cream tasted like cheap à la pistachio ice cream from a supermarket. If you want to know what I mean, try any cheap pistachio ice cream and compare it to better ones, for example Talenti (that should be, btw; a good example how you should mass produce pistachio ice cream). Desserts with MOLD inside. I bought an 8 dollar éclair here last night, got home, had 2 bites, thought it tasted weird, looked and there’s mold inside!! Disgusting is an understatement. Selling old, spoiled pastries is a health hazard.

I tried called all morning and afternoon - no answer. I So I went back there today. When I brought it to their attention, all they did was offer me a refund, as if that somehow erases the fact that they’re serving moldy desserts to customers. No attempt to make things right, no concern for how dangerous this could have been. Just a half-hearted transaction to get me out of their face. Needless to say I’m contacting the health department.

A place that can’t even be bothered to check if the food they’re selling is safe should not be in business. If you value your health, do yourself a favor and avoid this...

I wish you could give zero stars. I was in yesterday at 3pm and asked for a hot black coffee with a mocha flavoring. I first received a cold coffee in a hot coffee cup. I went back in and was told that it was cold because the hot coffee was refilling. One of the girls then put my coffee under the steaming machine, after i had taken a sip from the cup. When i questioned this she told me that there was a setting that just heated coffee and didnt put steamed milk out. Definitely not true as my coffee was returned to me with steamed milk in it. Absolute joke. I should have asked for my $$ back. Not going to stay in business when you can’t make a hot black coffee. Not to mention the unsanitary conditions by heating up a drink that one person already sipped with a machine that is used on other...
