Tenean Beach — Local services in Boston

If, like me you're looking for waves and the actual ocean, rather than the harbor or an inlet, the closest I have found is Revere Beach in Revere. If you're taking the subway you simply get on the orange line or Red Line in Bound and then switch over at State for the blue line. That will take you all the way to Revere Beach stop. Nice small secluded public Beach. There is a medium sized playground, 2 tennis courts side by side, full court basket ball court, picnic tables in the shade. There is no charcoal grilling allowed what so ever, but I believe if you apply for a permit you can propane grill. There is pretty ample parking and then there is the small cove like beach.
