The Venezia made all of my fairytale wedding dreams come true and more. My husband and I got married this New Years Eve (12/31/2019) at the Venezia. We had both our ceremony & reception at the Venezia. Our ceremony was slightly unique in being that it took place on the stairs in the foyer, followed by a cocktail hour in the foyer, and then a reception in the main ballroom ending at 1am. I don’t even know where to start with how amazing EVERYTHING at the Venezia was and I want to make sure I include everything! Venue: The Venezia is absolutely beautiful, from its location on the harbor overlooking Boston’s skyline, to the stunning white marble foyer with its beautiful grand staircase, to the elegant ballroom that overlooks the harbor with floor to ceiling windows. Everything about this venue is truly breathtaking! Food: The food is amazing. I have had so many guests that are still calling and telling me how amazing the food was. Our photography (Mark Davidson Photography) did a really great job of capturing some really great shots of the incredible food displays that Venezia put out and I will attach them to this review. Everything was delicious. Service: I have also had so many guests calling me telling how incredible the service was at the Venezia. So many guests have commented on how attentive the staff was to everything, they never felt like they were looking around to find someone to help them. I had a few guests that are actually in the catering/event field and they were among the ones commenting about how impressed they were with the service they received at the Venezia. The day of, we had 2 personal attendants, Frances and Rob, that were with the bridal party in the bridal suite prior to the ceremony until the end of the night. They were incredible! Frances was so helpful in the bridal suite helping me and my bridesmaids and making sure we didn’t need anything and running back and forth between the bridal suite upstairs to the room where the groom & groomsmen were. And Rob was seriously amazing from getting the keys to open the gate to the dock so we could take pictures out there, to making sure I had my favorite beer (Angry Orchard) he was just amazing! Brenda: And finally, there is not one word that can describe Brenda Seekins, the leader of the entire show, because she truly is a super woman. From the very beginning, she is by your side guiding you through the entire wedding planning process. She is not only so nice, but she makes you feel like you are the only bride that she working with! She really spends so much time working with you so that you are getting the wedding of all your dreams. I made all of my centerpieces and the majority of all of our wedding decor, and the weekend before the wedding, she spent an entire afternoon, going over everything single centerpiece and piece of decor to make sure that it was all set up perfectly. She really went above and beyond when she re-adjusted her personal schedule, and came in on her day off to run my wedding rehearsal because she wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for my big day. And I had a huge bridal party, 11 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen, with the ceremony taking place on the grand staircase in the foyer. So this was not your traditional ceremony, and required a lot of attention to make sure that everyone understood what they were doing so that everything looked good. And when I tell you the ceremony was incredible, it was out of this world. I will admit, I was a little worried that it just wasn’t going to look good or something would go wrong, but it was perfect and better than I ever could have imagined! The day of Brenda just does it ALL and somehow makes it look effortless (I will also include pictures from the ceremony). She truly is a badass boss woman! There’s a reason why she has this job, because no one else could do it as incredible as her!

Went for the $20 Prix fixe lunch menu during restaurant week and it was wonderful. I had meatballs and my girlfriend had mixed arancini and polebta as apps. The meatballs were clearly home made and fresh and the sauce was excellent. The polenta and arancini were a bit heavy for a first course, everything being fried, but still tasty. For entrees I had a generous portion of shortribs in bourbon glaze with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I'm not entirely convinced that they were actual short ribs as they seemed closer to pot roast, but the meat was tender and tasty and the brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of salt. My girlfriend had a pasta, the name of which is escaping me (bucatelli?) With he made sausage, brocollini and sun dried tatoes in a white wine sauce. The sauce was well balanced and the portion was huge. For dessert she had the lava cake and I didn't get to try any of it which means it was excellent and I had the bread pudding, the presentation of which impressed me greatly. The service was impeccable in a classic fine dining kind of way, even though I later discovered that I had a huge cowlick in my hair that would have caused lesser waiters to not take me seriously. The location is a bit strange, it's down in what seems to be an old wearhouse on the docks through a residential area. It overlooks Dorchester and Marina Bay and I imagine with foliage on the latter the views are perfect but there is a rusty old barge currently anchored right in front of the windows. Overall it was the best experience we had during dine out Boston and I'd recommend it heavily.

I wasn't sure what to expect coming here, but I was SO pleasantly surprised!!! When you first walk in, it seems nothing special, but then you get to where the seating is, and it's lovely. This is a place you can dress up or dress down really. Very comfortable and relaxed environment, not stuffy even though it's classy. We had waterside seating. It was nighttime and still nice, but I bet during the day it's gorgeous! My friend wanted a chocolate martini, and although not on the cocktail menu, they made her one! It even had a chocolate rim with shaved chocolate that melted into your mouth as you drank. It was fantastic!!! I had their espresso martini, and wow, it was delicious. The bread basket was a bit meh, so we weren't sure how dinner would go. We did get appetizers, my friend the mushrooms, and I got the risotto balls. Both were excellent!! For dinner, she got the short ribs, and I ordered the lemon chicken pasta dish. Sorry, I don't have the exact names, but both were phenomenal!! The short ribs were so tender you could pull them apart with your fingers!! And my pasta was so perfectly cooked, chicken was tender and the sauce divine!! We both ended up cleaning our plates!! I wished we had room for dessert as they looked excellent as well! I was visiting from Milwaukee and my friend was up from the Vineyard where she's working. And shout out to our server, Roberto!!! He was very pleasant and attentive! I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!

The Venezia restaurant is directly on Boston Harbor and has a large spacious dining room with great dockside views. We were on our way to see Steve Miller perform at the Lynn Auditorium in Lynn Massachusetts and this was a convenient place for dinner before the show. We were a party of three and we started with signature cocktails during the bread service. The cocktails which were excellent and we ordered another round with dinner. Next we ordered and shared two appetizers, the Eggplant Bake and the Lobster Martini which were superb. The Lobster Martini was light coated in a cilantro crème fraise and was perfect. This was followed by two salad, the heirloom tomato Caprese Salad that was shareable and a Mediterranean Salad which included roasted pine nuts which were delicious and a nice touch. For entrees, I ordered the Baked Haddock which included a bread crumb topping with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. It was delicious and satisfying. My companions split the Tortellini Primavera but asked for vodka sauce instead of Alfredo which the restaurant happily accommodated. The chef split the dinner for you and served each portion on separate plates. The resulting portion size was perfect. For dessert we got the Tres Leche Berry Cake and Lemon Sorbert and they were easily shareable with lots of sweet and tangy goodness to go around. Based on our consensus view this restaurant is earned a 4.67 rating. I highly recommend it.

THE SERVICE: Hostess provided a friendly greeting, confirmed our reservation, and then escorted us to our harbor view table. Waiter arrived shortly thereafter introducing himself, and then orienting us to the menu as new customers. After ordering refreshments we were served complimentary warmed focaccia bread with a delicious herb butter crust. All food items arrived well timed and at the perfect temperature. THE FOOD: The Crab Cake appetizer had a nice flavor profile, but the texture was too dense reminiscent of a salmon croquette. Although a tasty bite, you’ll find yourself searching for the crabmeat and missing the traditional Maryland style preparation. The Chicken Risotto was cooked to perfection. Every ingredient was complimentary lending to a delectable standout bite- compliments to the Chef. THE ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant achieved the feeling of being invited into someone’s home for a special meal. I appreciated the scenic views and hospitality. My table-mate and I easily conversed as we were not competing with loud music. I’ll note, I dined mid week so the experience may differ during peak times. THE VALUE: Excellent price points for the quality of food, service, and location. Onsite parking with ample spaces- huge bonus when dining in the city.

We had our NYE wedding at the Venezia in 2021! We had a two-year engagement and enjoyed every moment of working with Nina! She always had the ability to help us through tough moments and there were many due to COVID. Our guest list drastically dropped during the week leading up to our wedding and I can't thank Nina and her team for all the work they did to accommodate for that. We asked all of our guests to wear masks during our ceremony and the Venezia team made sure our supply of masks was upfront and center when folks walked in. We even asked to keep the doors to the deck open a bit to increase airflow and they did that without even a blink of an eye! Nina was so attentive and responsive! She made our special day everything we could have ever imagined! The décor of this venue at Christmas time is also so stunning!!! On the day of the wedding the staff, food, and venue were impeccable! We had two attendants for the whole night that made sure we were well taken care of and they worked so hard! We have received so many compliments that this was one of the best weddings anyone had ever been to! The photos in our review are by our amazing photographer, Esra Y Photography!!!!
