The Venezia made all of my fairytale wedding dreams come true and more. My husband and I got married this New Years Eve (12/31/2019) at the Venezia. We had both our ceremony & reception at the Venezia. Our ceremony was slightly unique in being that it took place on the stairs in the foyer, followed by a cocktail hour in the foyer, and then a reception in the main ballroom ending at 1am. I don’t even know where to start with how amazing EVERYTHING at the Venezia was and I want to make sure I include everything! Venue: The Venezia is absolutely beautiful, from its location on the harbor overlooking Boston’s skyline, to the stunning white marble foyer with its beautiful grand staircase, to the elegant ballroom that overlooks the harbor with floor to ceiling windows. Everything about this venue is truly breathtaking! Food: The food is amazing. I have had so many guests that are still calling and telling me how amazing the food was. Our photography (Mark Davidson Photography) did a really great job of capturing some really great shots of the incredible food displays that Venezia put out and I will attach them to this review. Everything was delicious. Service: I have also had so many guests calling me telling how incredible the service was at the Venezia. So many guests have commented on how attentive the staff was to everything, they never felt like they were looking around to find someone to help them. I had a few guests that are actually in the catering/event field and they were among the ones commenting about how impressed they were with the service they received at the Venezia. The day of, we had 2 personal attendants, Frances and Rob, that were with the bridal party in the bridal suite prior to the ceremony until the end of the night. They were incredible! Frances was so helpful in the bridal suite helping me and my bridesmaids and making sure we didn’t need anything and running back and forth between the bridal suite upstairs to the room where the groom & groomsmen were. And Rob was seriously amazing from getting the keys to open the gate to the dock so we could take pictures out there, to making sure I had my favorite beer (Angry Orchard) he was just amazing! Brenda: And finally, there is not one word that can describe Brenda Seekins, the leader of the entire show, because she truly is a super woman. From the very beginning, she is by your side guiding you through the entire wedding planning process. She is not only so nice, but she makes you feel like you are the only bride that she working with! She really spends so much time working with you so that you are getting the wedding of all your dreams. I made all of my centerpieces and the majority of all of our wedding decor, and the weekend before the wedding, she spent an entire afternoon, going over everything single centerpiece and piece of decor to make sure that it was all set up perfectly. She really went above and beyond when she re-adjusted her personal schedule, and came in on her day off to run my wedding rehearsal because she wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for my big day. And I had a huge bridal party, 11 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen, with the ceremony taking place on the grand staircase in the foyer. So this was not your traditional ceremony, and required a lot of attention to make sure that everyone understood what they were doing so that everything looked good. And when I tell you the ceremony was incredible, it was out of this world. I will admit, I was a little worried that it just wasn’t going to look good or something would go wrong, but it was perfect and better than I ever could have imagined! The day of Brenda just does it ALL and somehow makes it look effortless (I will also include pictures from the ceremony). She truly is a badass boss woman! There’s a reason why she has this job, because no one else could do it as...

My Husband and I had our wedding at Venezia Boston in August and it was beautiful! This was a busy year for my husband and I, but nevertheless we were able to plan our wedding in 8 months. From the time we had our tour at Venezia to the minute we said I do, we felt as if we had support every step of the way thanks to Brenda. Brenda was great!! She was very responsive via phone and email in answering all of our many questions, suggesting vendors, and was able to meet with us when we needed.

The day of the wedding, we had attendants helping us with anything we needed (Thanks Robert And Frances) and of course Brenda was there coordinating and making sure everything went smoothly! I got ready at a hotel and finishing touches were done in the bridal suite, which is really nice! It’s a cozy and classy bridal suite large enough for our bridal party and us. The furniture there is classy enough for photos and their large mirror is a must have for preparation photos.

We were blessed to have beautiful weather on our wedding day. Although there is no outdoor ceremony space at Venezia, there are different indoor options. If an outdoor ceremony is a must for you, this will not be the place. Our ceremony was lovely! We were married on the grand staircase. We still had plenty of outdoor photo opportunities as this wedding venue overlooks the water and has a beautiful gazebo!

The reception ballroom is very elegant. Whatever theme you’re going for, you can achieve. The ballroom is large enough to accommodate a huge wedding, but still fitting for a small wedding like ours. Not much decor is needed at all since it’s so beautiful, so even the smallest accents are enough to achieve the look you want.

There’s plenty of space to dance on the dance floor and you have the added bonus of an outdoor deck for guests to mingle and get some fresh air.

We were very happy with our choice to get married there, so if you’re looking to get married in Boston, you should at least make an appointment and check it out. Hope you love it as...

This resteraunt was dissapointing. When we arrived we were delighted by the view and the hostess was very nice. Overall the space is very enjoyable. When the waiter came he was gruff and seemed kind of disgruntled. We placed our order and when the food came out (and the food on a scale on 1-5 was about 3.5 which was fine) the waiter was literally tossing plates at the table. My folk was bent, and one of my plates was so dirty from an apparant unsuccessful run through the dishwasher to which I had to use my napkin to clean it (no use in flagging the waiter about it because he was already upset about... who knows (waiter with the bulky watch and gold braclet). The guy filling the water was sneaking in and out filling water glasses like a circus trick over everyone's shoulders, but he too was flying around so gruff to the point when he refilled mywife's water; one of her ice cubes flew out of the glass onto her plate and he was gone so fast he didn't notice (at least the water guy was smiling). It's not time for this type of behavior when we came for a nice lunch. I'm a city guy through and through, and I can hadle gruff or whatever you throw at me. However, this isn't a diner right? Being in the service industry myself I can say with 100% certainty; that in a fine establishment such as this; said behavior was unexpected and frankly not appropriate. Not why I brought my family here - I expected the opposite. Maybe I came on a bad day or perhaps management needs to have a team meeting and tell these guys to brighten up and sharpen up. At any rate, this establishment lacked in the 'fine dining experience' part in a major way today - To the point that it honestly took away from the foods chance at being any good. This was one of those experiences where paying the check felt like paying a...

We came to Venezia as a group of 14 women for a girls dinner outing, and overall had a great time! First off, I appreciate the fact that they have parking (a win in Boston), and the view is stunning even just from the lot. You can see the water before you even walk in, and it definitely sets the vibe, so soothing! The restaurant itself is tucked down a long mirrored corridor which I absolutely used for photo ops because why not? They also have a function hall, so there was a lot of movement as there was an event going on. It took about 5-7 minutes for someone to greet us at the host stand, which felt a bit long but no big deal. Once seated (we did request a table with a view), the sunset over the water was absolutely beautiful. It really made the night feel special. I started with a Guava cocktail and was genuinely surprised by how good it was as it actually tasted like guava which is a rare find! I had the Chicken Parm, and it was so well done. It was perfectly breaded, just the right amount of crunch, and really flavorful. I left no crumbs. Since we were a big group, we each got different desserts and tried everything on the menu, which made dessert a fun, shareable experience. The tiramisu and the coconut cake were my personal favorites. Our server was friendly and mostly attentive throughout the night, though it was a little tough to get his attention toward the end as the staff seemed more focused on cleaning and wrapping up for closing. The bathroom was clean though the sink was filled with dead fruit flies (they were around the restaurant too). Would definitely go back, especially for a special night or dinner with a view.

Went for the $20 Prix fixe lunch menu during restaurant week and it was wonderful. I had meatballs and my girlfriend had mixed arancini and polebta as apps. The meatballs were clearly home made and fresh and the sauce was excellent. The polenta and arancini were a bit heavy for a first course, everything being fried, but still tasty. For entrees I had a generous portion of shortribs in bourbon glaze with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I'm not entirely convinced that they were actual short ribs as they seemed closer to pot roast, but the meat was tender and tasty and the brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of salt. My girlfriend had a pasta, the name of which is escaping me (bucatelli?) With he made sausage, brocollini and sun dried tatoes in a white wine sauce. The sauce was well balanced and the portion was huge. For dessert she had the lava cake and I didn't get to try any of it which means it was excellent and I had the bread pudding, the presentation of which impressed me greatly. The service was impeccable in a classic fine dining kind of way, even though I later discovered that I had a huge cowlick in my hair that would have caused lesser waiters to not take me seriously. The location is a bit strange, it's down in what seems to be an old wearhouse on the docks through a residential area. It overlooks Dorchester and Marina Bay and I imagine with foliage on the latter the views are perfect but there is a rusty old barge currently anchored right in front of the windows. Overall it was the best experience we had during dine out Boston and I'd recommend it heavily.
