Boston Ice Cream Factory — Restaurant in Boston

Was dropping a friend off at the airport and really craving ice cream so we looked up places nearby. Was a little concerned because Boston Ice Cream Factory had 2.5 stars but it was the only place open so we went. Turns out Yelp was wrong and they were actually closed (got there at 11:45 and they didn’t open until 12:00). A very nice man opened the window and helped us anyway which was very sweet. And the ice cream, OMG the ice cream was SO GOOD!!!!! It looks like most of the reviews for this place are low because of customer service so I hope the bad employees get replaced by better ones because we probably would have gone somewhere else based on reviews alone had other places been...

So I went here today on my lunch break and I walked up to the window but nobody was there... I waited. Even looked over the menu waiting patiently for someone to come take my order. After about 5 minutes of waiting I said maybe they're in the back so I called. The employee answered and I responded that I was at the window. She hangs up and came to the window and said "you don't have to call" with an attitude. I responded well I am going to call if you don't know that I'm here. Her response was that she seen me standing back and thought I was looking at the menu. Ummm hello so if you seen me standing there you weren't going to come greet me?? Terrible customer...

Just came back from there. I asked for Durian Ice Cream. I was there the past Sunday. She said Durian was sold out. I asked when would they have it, and she said Tuesday and Wednesday. Yes, this is Tuesday, and she said they didn't have it. Why did she tell me to come back Tuesday. She could not explain and just shut the window. Very rude and unprofessonal. Will never go there again. I can find Durian Ice Cream in Oriental markets in my neighborhood. If you were the owner, fire that woman. ...
