VERSACE — Local services in Boston

My issue is mainly with the company Versace, however, the staff at this location also deserve 1 star. Versace must be the only company that does not allow returns for refunds. I purchased a pair of slippers and decided a few hours later that they won’t be good on my hardwood floors as they don’t have rubber bottoms. So I went back in to return them and to my surprise was told I could only exchange or have a store credit. Every other brand, Chanel, Armani, Gucci, and department stores such as Neiman; all accept returns for refunds (within a certain time window). When did this change? Was this always a policy or only since Michael Kors purchased the company? Ever since they purchased the company it’s gone downhill and has become a cheaper brand-not the luxury it once was. As someone who is purchased multiple items from Versace’s all over the states, I found this very shocking. My issue with the store is the staff member who informed me and then the GM who spoke to me on the phone. The GM answered the phone as if she was preparing for war-she came with a nasty and ghetto attitude and was very nasty with her reply. A little kindness and speaking nicely and softly would go a long way especially when dealing with a customer who is not happy with a return situation. I think the GM needs to go back into customer service training and then to management training. I also understand why the staff is hostile, working under her they pick up on her actions. First of all, I would like to say the store is just beautiful. It has all the Versace furniture in it and it is just absolutely gorgeous. The clothes are right off the runway which I love. We come from Rhode Island just to shop the Copley mall. We always stop in to Versace to see what’s new to buy and chat with Julian on all the new stuff. There all awesome the entire staff at this store. There the best in the business and professional. Thanks guys.
