As others have noted in their reviews, owner has the tendency to make you wait past your scheduled appointment time and can be quite curt and cold. I suspect, as others have, that he tries to squeeze in too many appointments, despite the fact that he's the only one there. Either hire another person or ease up on the scheduling. As such, when I went in for my appointment, I waited maybe 20-30 minutes past my time while he finished others.
My haircut also felt rushed, like he couldn't be bothered to deal with my simple men's cut. I'm not a customer that needs or even wants small talk, but at least treat your customers like you care about them (or at least their hair).
All this confuses me because he does have a lot of positive reviews. I notice a lot of them are from people who've been getting their hair cut from him regularly for a long time. That leads me to suspect maybe it's a favoritism thing, where he treats his regulars drastically differently from how he treats first-timers. That's unacceptable in today's...
Read moreCame at the recommendation of my friend after not getting my hair cut professionally since early 2021. I called on a Tuesday night asking if there were any lunchtime appointments available during the week and he was able to book me for a 12:30pm appointment for the next day. I showed up to my appointment on time and waited a few minutes while he finished up on another customer, but a wait was expected since he's a one-man salon.
I showed him a photo of the kind of long layers I wanted and he was able to provide without any issues. He also asked if I wanted to thin my hair since it's super thick in the back, which I appreciated, since I had forgotten that was an option after having not been to a salon in a while.
Overall my session was about 40 minutes, which included the cut, wash, and blow-dry/styling. It came out to $48 (not including tip), which is his baseline for women's haircuts.
I would definitely recommend coming here! Just be sure to call ahead because he doesn't...

I've had haircuts from professional salons that cost hundreds of dollars in Japan, Korea, and Sydney. I've even had cheap 4 dollar haircuts from Taiwan.
I can confidently say Freddy is definitely among the top in terms of skill, professionalism, work ethic, and service. He was precise, fast, confident, and easygoing. The overall the experience was very comfortable and satisfying. I have zero complaints.
Thanks Freddy, love hearing u talk man, was a vibe haha. ✌️
Note: I came here with my gf as she is a regular, but this is my first time (I'm not from Boston).
Also, don't come expecting a fancy fashion hair salon that serves beer, soft drinks, shots, water and food (yes I've been to those places and they are awesome but expensive). I personally feel that this place is for a good or fantastic haircut (or whatever you need done) and maybe a nice chat. Nothing more,...
