I don't usually write reviews for salons because I don't usually think spending an hour in a salon is a fun thing. That feeling changed completely when Sierra gave me one of the best experiences of my life. I'm very non-descriptive with what I like to have done and Sierra took the time to talk me through what she felt would look good on me. She discussed multiple aspects of my hair and how she would cut and style it. I've never even been asked several of the questions she took the time to ask me about.

I told her I trusted her to do what she felt would look good, even though it was different than I had in the past. The results were incredible. I couldn't believe how exciting and young she made my hair look. I could help but smile ear to ear as I left the salon. Sierra is a really true artist and I couldn't be paid to find someone else. I've never thought about how different my experience could be with the right stylist. I don't think you could pay me to sit in another salon's chair.

Sierra was also incredibly easy to talk to and checked with me throughout the whole process to ensure I was comfortable and happy with the direction she was taking me.

The spa was also impressive in its use of environment-friendly and high-quality products. Sierra spent even more time with me to go through how she thought I would want to style my hair. She was full of several ideas and actually did a style that created waves in my curly hair that no one has ever done before. The results were amazing. I have never paid much attention to my hair in the past, however, I quickly picked up the product she used and will be continuing to style it with her easy to follow instructions.

If I could give Brook Lyn 6 stars I would! I've been seeing Brook Lyn regularly for over a year now for lash + brow tints, lash lifts and even brow laminations! I had never heard of brow laminations and it was Brook Lyn's idea that it would look great for my brows/face. I was scared to try it because it lasts 8+ weeks, but I trust her eye, and now I loveee them and I'm hooked! She really listens to what you what, cares about how you feel, and has an amazing artist's eye and the attention to detail that I would have for my own face! Which is saying a lot, because I'm extremely particular about the look and feel of things. 😆 For something as personal as your face, you want everything to be just right and it blows me away that literally every single time, it is. We've had fun dialing in the perfect color mixes for me over time too. And once you hone in on something you love, she never forgets. You don't even have to ask. I also have extremely sensitive skin, and the products they use at Orange Poppy actually work for me! No issues. These treatments make me feel great, and at this point I literally do them instead of wearing makeup most of the time. It looks better and more natural than makeup in my opinion, and is so much easier too because it lasts 1-3 months instead of 1 day! And I have noticed 0 unfortunate side effects for the health of my lashes, brows, or skin. Brook Lyn also creates a wonderful atmosphere where you can have fun conversation if you want, or lay in silence and drift into a relaxed meditative state while you trust her to take care of you. Horrible. They absolutely destroyed my hair, and then charged me a huge sum of money, and blamed me for the "miscommunication". Apparently I didn't understand that "textured", means frizz. I had to go to another salon and have 2 inches cut off. I should have more cut off, but then I would have a pixie cut, and I've been trying to grow my hair. The owner of Orange Poppy agreed to give me a free chemical/heat treatment, to improve my hair, but after reading about the treatment, and the risks of it, I was way too nervous to let them come anywhere near my hair. They did tell me that the treatment would not return my hair to the way it was, but would improve it for a few weeks. They absolutely refused to refund my money. They stylist at the other salon I went to said that my hair had been way over processed. Every day I have a sink, and shower full of broken hair, and have spent another large amount of money (not at Orange Poppy), on conditioning treatments, and new products.
