Brief, Fair, and Honest Review of The Patagonia Boulder, CO store from a loyal Patagonia customer who has lived all over the US (and have been in many Patagonia stores as a result).
The Boulder, CO Patagonia store is well stocked with men's, women's, and children's products for a number of outdoor sports, travel, school, etc. They always have the newest products from Patagonia's website and carry a variety of sizes and gear also.
The people who work at the store are professional, very informed about product features, benefits, sizing, fit, and why one would choose a given product over other similar Patagonia products in the same product category.
I was most impressed with how all employees listen very well and ask questions before recommending a product(s) for my needs. This is an important point in retail that is often overlooked and seldom put into practice. All Boulder Patagonia store employees seem well trained / cross trained to answer a wide variety of questions. Believe me, I ask quite a few questions when evaluating products I want to buy (before purchase). I've found service after the sale outstanding too here (as in the Denver Patagonia store as well).
The management of the Boulder store is top notch as are all employees that I've encountered in my 4-5 visits over the past year.
One last item, the store regularly hosts community engagement events (Yoga, volunteer efforts, etc.) thereby building a stronger community via being a good corporate partner.
When you are in the Boulder, CO area; this Patagonia store is a must visit for your Patagonia...
Read moreI came in late (630 pm. 1/2 hr before closing) and, was not greeted by the numerous staff at the counter.. I dont really care about that, but mention it for the purposes of this review. I was looking to spend around $1200+ on new shell jacket/ pants and puffy pants for an Alaska trip. There were 3 staff members not 10 feet from me carrying on a conversation and 100% not paying any attention to me shuffling through the gear repeatedly looking for sizes etc. It wasn't until I stood at the cashiers desk and interrupted the conversation that I was able to garner help. I was met with a slightly snooty demeanor when I asked for a particular product and asked "Do you really need that?". A better way to ask would have been, "for what purpose". Being boulder, the gear could have been for cruising the mall, but it's The Patagonia Store and could be for scaling Fitz Roy. I spent about 30 minutes in the store and left many other customers still shopping the racks and inattentive staff milling about. In any case, it was poor customer service and with some attitude. Patagonia gear is some of the best on the market as well as being some of the most expensive. Customer service should be...
Read morewe did an all day trip to pearl street to compare prices between patagonia, helly hansen, REI and northface for kids winter coats. patagonia was on our list too because my beloved patagonia sweatshirt disappeared after my husband died. i went to go collect my stuff off "his" property and it was nowhere to be found. so i came to scout out sweatshirts too. the sweatshirt that i looked at that was close resemblance to mine was 150 bucks and i kinda sat back and remembered mine was bought at an of season sale and i think i used my vail employee discount to get it. the kids coats are adorable but sort of expensive but then again if you buy a size up and buy neutral colors that will last a good 4 years between two or three kids. Patagonia is also one of three companies with programs like recycle back. in other words you can trade in an old Patagonia item ...i think. its also one of two companies thats involved with the climbing community. we are about ready to start purchasing items from stores that give to the climbiing community a community that my late husband was very much apart of until he retired and talked highly of for...
