Let me start this by saying I love the clothing and the message they bring, also that this is a review of the company. Not this individual shop or the employees there. They have always been top notch. However, I have found Prana does not practice what they preach. For a company that says on their "About Prana" page they want to "lessen their impact on the planet", "clothing with a higher purpose", and "We strive to do what is right, in ways both big and small" they have shown me quite the different in such a simple way. I recently purchased an item that was delivered to me. A few days later a new sale on that item had started (and with free shipping). I contacted customer service to see if they would be able to honor the new sale price, they said they unfortunately could not. This left me very confused since I could return the item I currently have (via free shipping for an exchange) and purchase the exact same item again at the discounted price, and have that shipped to me. They responded with saying that I definitely could do that. So instead of just refunding me the difference and me keeping the item I already have, I have to ship it back and they will send me the exact same thing back to me. How wasteful! This is the complete opposite of sustainability and doing what is right. This really dissapoints me in a company that I have been such an advocate for. Read moreDecided to go to the Boulder store over the Denver location to do some birthday shopping with my fiancée. Upon entering the store, we were not greeted, I actually said "hows it going?" to the young girl behind the counter staring out the window onto pearl st. mall. They replied, "It's been a weird day, I'm watching the bird outside." Odd response, but okay :) I started collecting a couple shirts and a couple pairs of pants. No one approached or spoke to me still. Finally I walked around the back to the fitting rooms and looked in. A young lady walked by assisting another (older, better dressed) customer, but did not ask if I needed a fitting room. I decided to grab my own fitting room. I try on a pair of pants and walk out to show my fiancée, the young employee gives me a hateful look, like why are you in a dressing room without someone helping you, but does not say anything. Finally I select my clothes and head to the counter to check out. The manager of the store is there now, she asks, " who helped you today? " I say, "no one, it was self service." So she offered me 25% off, but only on two of the four items I had picked out. It was the most bizarre customer service I've ever experienced. I'm not sure if you have to go into this store wearing formal attire to be helped or not. Next time I'll stop at the Denver location or go to REI. Clean store, great selection. Poor...
Read moreThis review applies to the company not this particular store. Wife got me a gift certificate as Prana shorts and pants are all I wear. Thankfully they brought back the regular stretch zion instead of the nonsense that is version 2.
There was a nice sale and I had enough money left to buy a hat. A few months later the button breaks.
I contacted customer service. “We don’t do exchanges” the person said. So I shipped the pants back to them (on their dime) and they sent me a credit for what I paid on the pants. I go to buy more pants and they cost a lot more because they just credited me the money I spent and the pants aren’t on sale currently.
I email back and ask if they can fix this saying I just want the pants restored to me. They say that this isn’t their policy and refuse to do it.
I say “why would I ever buy pants directly from you as you don’t stand behind your product.” They say they will pass it on to management.
So I have a credit to this stupid website and I am waiting to see if they put the pants back on sale.
I know I am finished with Prana online. If I can find clothes that are just as good from another company I would be glad to never support their business again.
You have the same choice. I would at least buy them from a reputable retailer who doesn’t play this game. If not just know that they only stand behind their full...
