I was looking for a dress for my works Christmas party. Just something work casual with a little character. I ended up on the second floor and the carpeting looks like it hasn't been changed in 20 years. The tiles are busted and permanently streaked as well. The lack of sizing and options in general was appalling. I remember being able to come here and find plenty of dresses in the past but today I walked out empty handed. The dressing rooms in the far corner of the formal section are disgusting, the carpets are caked with junk and glitter. The carpet like walls are brown from some kind of liquid damage about 2 feet up all sides. The ceiling tiles show where there have been leaks and no one has bothered to replace them. There is gum crammed into the door hinges. Ome employee eventually came around to let us know which register was open but not to offer any help. There were plenty of employees just standing and gossiping but not cleaning. We left 15 minutes to close and not one of them was tidying their areas or even going into the dressing rooms. If you're going to be offering such expensive clothing then maybe take the time and effort to make me feel like I'm buying from a high end store. When we went to exit the second floor the escalator was stopped with no explanation so we had to break our knees climbing down the deep steps. Im happy im not elderly or handicapped in any way or we would have had to find another way out. This place has gone down hill badly. I will not...
Read moreToday was the first time I ever had an awful experience at Dillard's. I wanted a black purse. As I was looking and comparing black purses a sales lady came and ask me if I needed help. She showed me 4 different black purses. I narrowed it down to a black Brahmin purse that I really liked. I told her I needed time to look it over and see if it was the right size for me. She said ok. She went to help another lady who was a few feet away who had ask for help. I was trying the purse out by holding it on my arm and holding it different ways in the mirror. I was holding the purse and another sales lady we will call her - (T) - came up to me abruptly saying, " I 'll put that purse back up for you!" I looked at her and I said "No. I'm making up my mind. " The original sales lady came back over and then (T) said something to her and (T) said loudly, IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!!! I looked at my sales lady, the other customer who was shopping looked up and looked at me. I asked my sales lady what is her name she is so rude!!! My sales lady could barely look me in the eye and said it's alright, it' s alright. The other customer said, "Yes, and she's pushy I've had to tell her 2 to 3 times that I have someone helping me." I feel that (T) needs customer service and sensitivity training. I feel the reason (T) wanted to put the purse up before I had decided to buy it or not is because she assumed that I could not afford the purse! I came for a black purse and I bought the...
Read moreI always shop at Dillards and yesterday was probably one of my worst experiences. I was gift shopping and looking at the women’s fragrances trying to decide which one to get I’ve had four employees ask me if I needed help and I told them I was just browsing. The whole time I felt like they were just looking at me ! It made me feel uncomfortable so I walked away as I was walking away I noticed two men walking towards me staring at me the whole time!! when I walked past them they said “ is she okay” so I looked at them again and they’re still staring at me and it turns out it was the security guards for Dillards!! I’m honestly bothered of the whole situation I will probably never step foot in dillards again. I understand a lot of the employees are commission paid and that’s definitely not how you get commission and I did take my business to Belk to purchase the exact same fragrance set I could’ve got at Dillards.. I hope other people can see this and keep a note not to wear all black to Dillards on a rainy day after work , because you will be a suspect for Dillards employees lol and definitely don’t go sniffing their fragrances that are on display or they’ll sending a big bald guy...
