I admit, I'm pretty picky about gifts in general. I buy things for others that I love and that practically speaks their name to me. I stock up on gifts when I can because I usually don't have much time the day of a birthday party or the entire month of Christmas. When I visited For Keeps in Bowling Green, Ohio, I was totally surprised by all the cool items they have for practically everyone on my list (including my father, who is the world's most difficult person to shop for). I spent more than I intended going in, but I had no idea they would have so many unique items. My gift closet is now totally stocked. The items are reasonably priced for the high quality and the staff was friendly. When they mentioned gift wrapping, I was super excited, but declined. To be honest, I'm not sure that everything I bought will be given away. I might just be keeping a few things for myself. Looking back, their name makes more sense to me now. I will for sure be going back to find the perfect things for the treasured people on my list. I didn't even get a chance to check out their additional floors, so I'll have to go back sometime soon.

They have seasonal displays, novelty socks and tees, Yankee candles, housewares, an excellent assortment of garden gnomes, Vera Bradley collections, snarky stationery by Anne Taintor, charm bracelets, curio trinkets, presents for that special someone, Ma, Pop, Granny & Gramps!

P.S. For those less-mobile, there is an elevator by the back entrance!

Will NEVER come here again. I am a loyal customer of for keeps gifts. Going to BGSU is this a perfect small business to support for getting gifts for family or yourself, well not anymore! Walking home from school I stopped in and was shopping around holding two bracelets to see if I could find another item that matched these bracelets. I decided against the bracelets and placed them in the EXACT location I found them. An employee chased me out of the store and accused me of shoplifting on the sidewalk while people were passing. This was embarrassing to me, knowing I did nothing wrong I followed the employee into the store and showed her the bracelets in the exact place I found them. She stated she assumed I stole because they have a shoplifting problem. This is not my problem, you should not be assuming loyal customers of shoplifting. I will never return to this store and they have forever lost...
