The self checkout process was confusing as there was no associate available to offer assistance in the immediate location of the self checkout stations. I inadvertently used an out of order station. There was no red light to indicate that the station was out of order. I was able to scan all my items and swiped my card but got no receipt. The checkout line was very, very long and I felt stupid standing there looking for someone to help me. I finally called out to a cashier who was checking out people. She was far enough away that I could not hear what she said. I continued to look around for someone to help me. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity the cashier who I had asked for help came over. She told me that checkout station was out of order and that was why there was a bag over the screen. I felt even more stupid because the bag on the screen seemed odd to me but since I was able to scan all my items and swipe my card I thought my transaction was complete. I am not unfamiliar with self check out at other retail locations. Those other retail locations all have a red light atop a little pole to indicate an out of order station; as well as, associates in the immediate vicinity to offer assistance if needed. I was able to finally complete my transaction but I will never, ever again attempt self checkout at Kohls as I left the store feeling like the stupidest...
Read moreWe came in to buy clothing for a wedding we have coming up this weekend. I took my sons to the bathroom and I walked into one of the stalls and sat down in the toilet. As I looked down at my feet I noticed I step in human feces. I had to take my shoes off and leave them in the bathroom. I had to walk barefoot through out the store to the shoe section. Having to find an associate (who I made aware of the situation and asked for a manager, he talked to her and I was ignored) to help me find my size of the same exact shoe I came in with. After finding them and putting them on I finished shopping with my family. At this point no one has still come to talk to me. As we were checking out I asked a different associate working the self check out about the situation. She had to call her manager who still had no intention of helping me. They offered me $20 off the shoes which I declined(was told $20 off was the best they ever offered anyone). I asked for 50% off because I didnât need the shoes but the shoes I wore in were not in the best shape. I felt like I was trying to be fair. They refused so I had to take the new shoes off and leave the store barefoot. I still have a few stops to make for my construction company and now I am unable to so I will have to make another trip after finding new shoes. We live in a rural area almost...
Read moreClean store and very nice however when I was checking out, the man helping me asked if I had a reward account. I do, but I was in a rush so I said no. He said his speech and why I should sign up but I already clicked the red button on the pin pad saying I donât want to fill it out. When I told him he put the request back on the screen??? So pushy and unnecessary. I said I donât want to sign up and then he told me to put in a certain phone number instead. I repeat: the associate asked me to put in a phone number that wasnât my own. My guess is he wanted to receive the credit for sign up points but this is NOT OKAY in any business establishment. You cannot insert an email or phone number in place of the customers to receive the points. Itâs not okay for any associate to do such a thing and they should look up the phone numbers used for each transaction to check for people who cheat the system. Very disappointing and will not come back if I have to deal with a pushy associate who is trying to...
