Tina's Jewelry — Local services in Brandon

First off, the review that stated Tina's Jewelry is closed and has been for some time is 100% incorrect. They are open and have not had a gap in business since its conception. They have closed for holidays and a couple of personal emergencies, for a very brief period; but never CLOSED. I am having work done by them right now. Tina's has been my preferred jeweler of choice for years; as well as for my family and friends. Everyone I have ever referred to Tina's has always had a positive experience. His skill and abilities as a jeweler revival any of the top jewelers in the area and most out of it. I have had custom jewelry made from jewelers all over the world and his are at the top. His work is also very inexpensive compared to other highly skilled custom jewelers. I had a ring that I wanted designed a few years back and no one in the area could do it for less than $2200 and all of these were for ring shapes pre-designed and out of their personal catalog. Tina's did this exact same ring for just under $300 and the ring shape was from my drawing and not chosen from a close match from a book of previously designed molds. On top of that, the other jewelers were going to use .925 Sterling and Tina's used .999 Fine Sterling; he also rhodium finished it, for a better finish and shine and durability to the surface. Plus, he has never charged me for a polishing and re-application of rhodium since (now this may not be the norm and could be since I have done a lot of busines with him; but it shows that he takes care of his clients). He also went the extra step and acquired the stones from a gemology show that was in the area; so that he was able to hand select the best ones for me. These were not even large stones, as they were just a flourishment to the main piece I had for it; but he wanted to help make the ring something even more special for me. I will always appreciate that. He went through more than 100 mold attempts in order to get the ring exactly right for me and showed me a few examples (all custom created molds for a lost wax process) so that I could choose which I liked the most. All of this was above and beyond whay any other jeweler I have every dealt with has done. I have had waaaaaayyyyyy more expensive rings made in the past, before this, and those jewelers didn't even put in 1/4 of the time, energy, and care into making those. That is why I have taken all of my business to him since then. He even restored a 2500 year old ancient Greek ring for me and did a phenomenal job. No other jeweler in the immediate area would even attempt this, as it was beyond their ability and/or they did not have the confidence for this undertaking. I sat on my eyeglasses and end up breaking one of the arms off. They want it between 200 and $300 for a new pair of frames. So I took a gamble and went to Tina‘s jewelry. He took looked at it. he said he was gonna try to do it, but there was no guarantees as whether he will be able to weld the metal Lower the hole he was able to do it and he saved me a lot of money. He only charged me $22. I gave him that plus a tip for being so precise and saving me so much for something. I didn’t think he was able to do and he prove me wrong. This is the only place I bring my jewelry Repaired. He’ll do it while you wait at a Reasonable price. You couldn’t ask for a friendly person.. I had to watch and the battery ran out so I took it to Tina’s. He replaced the battery for like $12. I have several watches and couldn’t remember which Watch I took. Coming to find out it was when I took a couple of months prior he cheerfully replaced the battery at no charge. Proven and time tested value. My wife has used this jeweler for years. I recently had to have my wedding ring resized. I had to have it cut off after 30 years of never having removed it. While I was reluctant after so many years to have to have it resized after removal, I am very pleased with the results and the value of this vendor. I am not particularly a jewelry aficionado, but I am very pleased with the service provided by this vendor. The resizing is not at all detectable except that my wedding ring has been polished and appears as new. I've not seen my reflection in the ring for at least a decade.
