Kohl's — Local services in Branford

If I could give no stars, I would. Some lady was clearly following me around and I realize loss prevention these days is important but she made me feel uncomfortable so I made a comment saying “don’t worry, I’m paying for this” (yes I should have just moved on). The employee responds by raising her voice and denying it while acting overly aggressive and a complete nutty reaction; at this point I’m not saying anything else I am just shopping. I see a customer walk in and over to the employee, apparently they’re friends. The employee then loudly tells the friend “Can you believe this woman blah blah blah” literally berated me to another customer and another employee; also loud enough for anyone around to hear….she wouldn’t stop. I said that one thing and nothing else. I start having a panic attack im becoming confused …another employee had now come over to the employee and friend and now the friend is saying negative things to me so I ask for a manager and the employee who had walked over claims she is the manager and that she sees nothing wrong with any of it. It was so confusing and anxiety raising. It’s really hard to explain but it was just plain nasty and cruel. I was just trying to get clothes for my kids and I actually had to walk out leaving a cart full… and I was shaking. I have a Kohls Charge and I spend a lot of money there generally at the Lisbon location. Looks like I’ll never go to Kohls when...

This was my first time shopping at a Kohl's in Connecticut and I had an absolutely phenomenal experience.....

There was a new associate working the counter and I could tell it was her first day and she was nervous.... I didn't have a Kohl's card and wanted to sign up.... She didn't know how to do it which was understandable. So she called over Ashley who came and taught her in a very impressive way. I used to work in upper management and I was incredibly impressed with her communication skills and patience. Then we ran into an Apple pay problem with the machine and Ashley again rushed over and helps the new associate and helped me.

I never thought I would be a cold shopper, but after today and all of Ashley's help I will be a regular at this store and I'm glad that I was able to sign up for benefits through the Kohl's card.

Retail is a hard job and it's not everyday you find people who actually care, act like a human and do the best they can in difficult, stressful situations like when the lines are long and problems happen. So it is always appreciated in 2024 when someone goes above and beyond.... Thanks for that and please contact me with any questions! It's important to acknowledge professionals...

Love the men's clothing, I ONLY WISH THEY WOULD GET A BETTER SELECTION OF MENS SNEAKERS LIKE NIKE AIR MAX!! The women seem to have a way better selection of sneakers than men. I really hope they will upgrade their men's shoes/ sneaker selection. I've been to other Kohl's in another state particularly Florida and the men's sneaker section was unbelievable it was like being in Foot Locker. And I just don't understand for the life of me why branford's Kohl's would have such an atrocious selection of men's sneakers. It seems to me like they get all the stuff that the Nike outlet can't sell. And we all know what the Nike outlet sells all the Nikes that they can't sell at Foot Locker and Champs Sports and Dick's Sporting Goods. But anyway sorry for the long review but this is the closest store to my house that sells Footwear and I would say if you are a sneakerhead do not expect to find anything at...
