Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I just needed a SIM card replaced (subsequently I’d been without cell service for the whole day,) when I explained my situation and gave all my info to the rep he said I wasn’t listed as an account manager under my family’s plan so he wouldn’t be able to replace it. He said I’d have to call my family and have them either go on the app and add me or call the “611.” I used an office phone because obviously mine had been out of commission. My dad added me as a user and I received an email saying I was texted a temporary password to continue. Problem was I couldn’t receive the text because my SIM card was out of commission. The rep said “iPhones should receive texts if you’re on wifi,” I said “yes, except I have no service because I need a SIM card,” he got on the office phone with my dad to make sure he did everything right while looking at my phone, saw that the ringer was off and said “well that’s why you’re not receiving texts, this switch is off.” I said, “no that’s just the ringer.” He said, “well I don’t know what to tell you … let me go check with my boss.” Then left me alone for another 10 minutes, came back and asked me “any luck?” I couldn’t help but laugh and say “you said you were going to speak with your boss.” And he said “yeah she doesn’t know either.” He then proceeds to check his system to see if I’d been added, and lo and behold, my name pops up. I was on the office phone with my parents for 40 minutes for something that could have taken 5 minutes tops. He takes my phone, and replaces the SIM, it works. But when I don’t receive the missed texts from earlier in the day I question him and he proceeds to switch on a bunch of random things in my settings, look at the fact that my data is switched off because I’m using wifi and say “that’s why you weren’t getting texts your data was off!” I said “no, I do not have service. My data is off because I’m on wifi, I should still be receiving texts because my service has been restored.” My dad sends a test text, the rep opens it then deletes my dad’s and my entire text chat, I say “do we have to power it down to give it a chance to reboot?” He says “no you don’t have to do that, it should just reset.” It does not, I excuse myself to the restroom, take my phone, power it down, and switch it back on and all the missed texts from throughout the day came flooding in. To sum up, I could have done this man’s job better than him with no training. He was incompetent, talked down to me when he was blatantly incorrect about basic technological principles, and he...
Read moreUDATED:: nothing new, years later, 2022, I get anew iPhone, transferring from an android, 1 st time iPhone user,, I go in and wait an hour to speak to someone.. the Guy is really nice, sets up my sons phone, gets mine going on some “imove ” app that is supposed to transfer everything to ur new phone, says it’s ready to go when all the files transfer and that I can just leave the phones next to each other till it’s done, and could take an hour… so I go home and before I even get home it’s calling errors and not working, I restarted it at least 10 Time’s in the next 24 hrs, not working, so I go back when they open bright and early hoping not to wait an hour, this woman, with way too much make up gives me about 3 minutes of trying to make the imove app work then tells me that’s all she can do, doesn’t ask her colleague’s, gives no other options, just says I can maybe use Google to get my contacts. ?? I’ve had this android for 5 years and not losing my info, so I go home and research and there’s TONS of other apps you can use to get transferred, and once I got that done, my phone was NOT ready to go, not activated, I had to do that myself.. that lady should be fired, she basically agreed with me when I said I had a1300 dollar paper weight.. there must be someone in that room that she works with that knew there were other apps, but she didn’t bother to even try and help, just “sorry, maybe you at least get ur contacts from Google” ……. Never more than 2 people to help, one guy that checks you in,, does only that, even tho he's qualified to help people, he walks around tinkering with products until someone walks in to be checked in,,, meanwhile 6 people are waiting to be helped...he even took an employee away from her customers to ring up some merchandise for a couple,, he couldn't even do that!! I was there the day before, he was behind the counter helping,, I guess they rotate who gets to check people in and do nothing,,,WORST place ever,, Verizon has the worst customer service EVER!! If you get lucky and get Dallas to help you,,, ur going to leave happy he's great..but other than that, I'd like to leave a...
Read moreIf at all possible, take your business elsewhere. Whether you need a new phone, new wireless service, or even just have questions about a product, there are better and more helpful stores in our area that deserve patronage over this.
I hadn't purchased a new phone in over 5 years. Iphone technology has advanced to a point where I wasn't comfortable simply buying the product and setting it up myself. When I said I needed help transferring my things from one new phone to the other, the manager I first spoke to said that wasn't a service they offered. Her exact words were "We don't do anything here." I asked her to repeat herself, and again she said to me "We don't do anything here." She insisted that their employees weren't able to move contacts, pictures, or anything else from one phone to the other.
I ended up leaving the store and calling another local Verizon retailer. As it turns, the reputation of this store proceeds it. The were very familiar with the manager, and said they often get customers who arrive upset from the Branson location looking for help. I spent nearly 3 hours at the second Verizon store, as they walked me through and fully helped me convert from a very old Iphone 6s to one of the Iphone 12s.
After receiving all the assistance I needed, I actually tried to call the Branson store to ask why exactly they refused to take the basic steps to help me, but you can't even get to an actual person when you call the number listed online for this store. Unfortunately, they have a phone menu that repeats itself and doesn't offer to connect you to any employee.
I've retold this story to members of my family, and as it turned out more than one of them was treated in the same manner I was. Employees were simply not interested in helping on any level beyond taking your money and handing over an expensive product.
Don't be fooled into thinking this is the only place near Branson capable of helping you with phone service and ultimately winding up with your money. There are other options available, and I'm glad I chose them over paying for and ultimately getting terrible service from this...
