I scouted out a few places for a friend that was not comfortable with the whole process. Two days later, THIS is the place I took him to first. Anita and Jen are both great. They answered each of our questions WITHOUT sounding like a Starbucks barista with a man-bun chastising you because you don't know their "system". You know the type. They used to work in record stores.
These folks EXPLAINED stuff, patiently. They let you read the package (which actually has almost NO information). We found out later that their prices were cheaper than the other places. First time customers get a 15% discount. You get extra goodies and respectful goodbyes.
A very comfortable shop. GO. It is hard to find. (Use google maps and trust it.)
The rest of our comparisons:
After this we went across the street to a larger place with a huge empty showroom, higher prices, and not much information besides "we have tried them all". We returned to the car feeling like we had just visited a bed & bath just before it shut down.
We drove down to Bernardston, MA to compare prices. Even though Brattleboro weed will have a 21% tax on your purchases, it was still cheaper than Bernardston.
The competition in Bernardston has a huge selection of buds that they grow next door, but the counter service was... ...Starbucks. The vibe was... Just like Starbucks, we are great, we deserve to be pricey, you need us, you are scum.
We didn't agree with their philosophy and moved on.
I am not a heavy user at all. I usually only partake when with friends. There are other places I have been to in several other states, but when in the Brattleboro area, I am only going to Cannabis Maximus. A good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in to purchase a gift certificate for my husbandās birthday. Very clean space, friendly and attentive staff and I imagine very good product. My one suggestion would be to put a sign on the door that states nobody under 21 is allowed in the store. It could avoid any embarrassment on the part of a person who does not know the ins and outs of dispensaries (I donāt use dispensaries myself but my friends and family do). It probably seems like common sense , but it was not to me. My 19 year old daughter was with me (shopping for gift, again not familiar with dispensaries) and she was told pointedly and sternly āI canāt have you in my storeā and she went back outside feeling completely embarrassed. It absolutely makes sense and Iām sure there are regulations that the store needs to follow understandably but perhaps the delivery of the information could have come with an explanation and been a little less āget-outā-ish OR a sign on the door (which I looked and looked for) before even entering could eliminate having to tell people to leave in the first place. She left feeling like she did something wrong. I left feeling like I did something wrong. Itās not a great feeling and would be hesitant to return, not because the store isnāt great - it seems like it is for the above mentioned reasons - but for the fact I just felt bad for not knowing the rules and would be uncomfortable going back because of how dumb I felt. I realize this sounds more like a me-problem but as a customer who knows nothing about a product, I was relying on a comfortable experience. *apologies if there is a sign and I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe just went in for our second time to Cannabis Maxximus, recently, and have had yet another great experience. Tia and Addie took very good care of us with super friendly attitudes and were extremely knowledgeable concerning their product and state regulations. Ben and Garzon (sp?), from our first trip, were also incredibly welcoming and informative. All of the staff we've encountered are focused on customer satisfaction.
The store is extremely clean, organized and easy to navigate. The ambiance is also calming, which is helpful for people with social anxieties.
The products we've sampled have exceeded our expectations, from flower to gummies. I would highly...
