Whippersnappers — Local services in Brattleboro

Up until recently I have always loved this store, they have a very large selection of quality used clothing at great prices. The owners (a couple) are friendly and available to help you with any of your needs.

My only complaint is that I recently brought alot of items in to sell to the store for cash or store credit, all name brand and in excellent condition. I have done this MANY times as it is a great way to turn over the clothing that our children grow out of so quickly. I have always thought they were fair with their offers for your items, a little lower than other stores in the area but convenient. My last visit they took the largest quantity of merchandise they have ever taken from me and offered me very little for the items, significantly less then they ever have before. It was almost insulting, especially after being a loyal customer for as many years as I have been. Had the owner not been training someone at the time, I would have spoke up and said something.

That being said don't let this keep you from shopping here, just be aware that if you're looking to sell your items you might be better off...

My wife and I stopped here on our honeymoon as we are expecting our first child in October. We went a little nuts to say the least and ended up filling our car with toys and all kinds of other goodies. What a great find!! We got such good quality toys that you can’t get anywhere and for really affordable prices. Customer service was super friendly and fully welcomed our “kids in a candy store” excitement as we grabbed pretty much anything that wasn’t bolted to the ground!! We will definitely be coming back here on future...

Best place within 50 Miles for second hand but in an excellent shape clothes.

Last time there I snagged a light fleece coat the kid outgrew in three years. This time even better, a black puffy jacket from Land's End.

Two pairs of blue jeans, three more pants, a sweater, some nice long sleeves for fall and winter.
