I have been to every habitat for humanity around the Puget sound. This is my second favorite one, my first favorite locally. The staff is amazing, selection is abundant and always changing. They also have a second building full of furniture and other home furnishing items. A little bit of everything. I have one complaint though, they got rid 0 of senior discounts, military discounts, and loyalty discount cards. It's a shame because everybody likes to go shopping on the discount day and now they are the only ones that don't offer any. Besides the complaint I have one gripe, it's not valid enough in my eyes to be counted as a complaint. My only gripe, which pertains to about 90% of the habitat for humanities, is their discount system. They go by color so something could have been on the shows for a year but if the color is not what is currently on discount, you don't get the discount. Two places around the sound have it set on a never-ending discount scale. 30 days is one discount value, all the way up to 180 days being 90% discounts. This allows more items to pass through the store and not take up wasted space when somebody is looking for something that they find but because the color tag doesn't match they don't get the discount. Other than that, the store is great and I never have a problem finding something that I need. If they don't have it today come back in a week. What they lack in discount options they make up for in customer service, accessibility, availability, and...
Read moreI believe this place has lost its way. It's good that St Vincent's move next to it because otherwise I believe they would continue to be on a path toward the complete opposite of what their entire mission is. You used to be able to come here get good deals and walk away feeling like maybe you would offset some of the crazy cost of things but now a place that's supposed to provide people you don't have much money to shop elsewhere is gouging prices just like everywhere else. I'm sorry I thought this was supposed to be a non-profit to help people. Guess I was wrong. Additionally the employees have the worst attitudes, I know some of them are volunteers and I appreciate them volunteering but if you're going to have an attitude then just don't volunteer. There are two areas of this habitat The area that has more of the industrial tool stuff has more of the attitude employees, The other area that has most of the furniture stuff has some really nice ladies working there and they are generally very nice.
So in short prices should be brought back down to reflect the mission of the nonprofit. The employees on the industrial side of the space need to be more friendly and helpful. Other than that you might still find a good deal from time to...
Read moreEXTREMELY unprofessional! I booked a week ago with their Resupply Donation Pick Up, they claimed to confirm my booking, then what do you know? DAY OF, already inside the pick up window of 8am-12pm, they send me a text (they don't even have the decency to call) claiming that they have to CANCEL my pick up and to reschedule for a different day.
I have news for Resupply. Some of us have JOBS. I can't just randomly be available at home whenever you decide you want to come by. That's the whole purpose of a BOOKING is that it's supposed to solidify when you're going to be coming by. Not only that, but because they canceled on me SO last minute, I'm left scrambling trying to find a new pick up service last minute before I get new furniture delivered to that same room later this afternoon.
Then of course this fraudulent business has the gall to not even have reviews available online. Well, I've MADE you a page! How about that. Terrible, horrible service and would NEVER EVER use again. They better refund me my deposit or I will be taking action...
