The lack of customer service in this place is appalling, especially in managers. They had a sale going on for an 18 pack of 1 liter bottles of water for $.99. Each 18 pack was wrapped in the original plastic it came in, with a small slit on the top. However the sign posted on the 18 packs of waters fail to say it's per bottle. The lady at the register who helped ring me out was nice enough when I showed her the picture on my phone of the sign, was odd she took my phone out of my hand and walked off with it for upwards of 3 minutes. When she came back, she agreed the sign is deceiving, however there's nothing she can do. She reluctantly requested a manager when I asked for one. Tall, blondeish man approached the register. Informed me that's why the slit is cut on the top of the 18 pack. I brought up the sign and how truly misleading it is. No where on the sign did it say "per bottle", each bottle was in an 18 pack of other bottles with a small slit on top, how are people supposed to just know its per bottle? Could of writen in sharpie underneath saying "EACH" . He refused to work with me on the price or acknowledge how frustrating it is. Only kept repeating himself when I would inquire about it further. When I asked if there's anything we can do about the price due to the misleading nature of the sign, he said no, I'm not willing. At no point in time did he try to use good customer service to make me feel even slightly better, let alone interested in buying anything else. There was no apology for the miscommunication. Not even a hint of scincerity in his voice. I informed him that unfortunately I will not be buying anything at this time, his reply was "fine". To you sir, fine, even though you don't care, your cold hearted lack of customer care gives SAAR'S a bad name. I regret even...
Read moreThere is an older white man who works there who is VERY rude. When my husband and I were in line, we had gotten some chocolates in bulk. We were talking about the prices of the chocolates and then he asked us something but we didn't catch it. We paused,, with smiles on our faces before asking what he said. He then said in a loud voice as if we can't understand English, "DO. YOU. HAVE. A. CODE?". He was not smiling. And he was demanding. My husband, jumped to action and said, "oh, no. Sorry, should I get it for you?" And the rude man says, "YEEEES?" as if it's a no brainer. My husband runs to the bulk section immediately to grab the code for the chocolates.
To top it off, when I tried to pay with my card, it declined, and he said in a loud voice again (it's like he was intending to embarrass us or bully us?) "YOU ONLY HAVE THREE DOLLARS ON THIS CARD". And he looks down at me over his glasses as if I'm a child in trouble. Sir, I have another card to pay that has money, please don't feel the need to look down on me.
When we paid and turned to leave, the old lady behind us says, "I dont have codes for these..." right away. Its the first thing she says. He responds, "oh yeah, I've got the codes."
My husband and I looked at each other and exchange a look.
We are just a couple trying to get some snacks and we weren't rude at all. To anyone!
Customer service is out the window. It's as if the workers aren't expected to be polite and have...
Read moreprices are all over the place and great on certain goods, otherwise they're pretty high on most everything like meat, eggs, and bulk goods. i've seen some shockingly low prices on avocados. anything from "signature select" is priced ridiculously high. some seriously terrible cashiers with awful attitudes manage to make their way into the collection of excellent ones they usually have. sometimes these cashiers either don't last long or aren't there often but a few have lingered and they're a drag. despite having something like 8 checkout lanes, they never have more than 3 open and usually there's only 1 resulting in customers standing in line for 10-20 minutes. the wait is usually not too bad but it's annoying when a quick trip to the store for 2 items turns into waiting for 10-15 minutes in line when your checkout process is only 30 seconds. their fried foods are good if you catch them fresh but if they've sat a little while they're barely passable. their containers for holding and heating cooked food are not great. they put small orders into plastic bags so your fried food will be soggy by the time you get home with it. this is one of their pretty reasonably priced goods though. their cheap chicken days are great value even if the quality isn't great overall, good store. just annoying sometimes and some of their prices are ridiculous. its a wild store, lots of variety in terms of goods, prices,...
