Bassett Furniture — Local services in Brick Township

Last Spring,, I started shopping at the various furniture stores in my area and was not impressed until I went into Bassett Home Furnishings in Brick. I am a fan of HGTV, specifically Joanna Gaines farmhouse style. Terese greeted me and became my own modern farmhouse style decorator! She was amazing and took so much time helping me select beautiful living room and dining room furniture. I was so impressed with her knowledge and expertise. She did not push me to buy, but simply put a picture together of what my rooms could look like and I fell in love with her concepts and ideas and ended up purchasing furniture that to me looks like Magnolia Home! She even suggested a color that might look good in my living area. I did choose the color she suggested and I love it! Just a couple of weeks ago, I went back to look for an area rug to complete my living room. Terese wasn't in, but Brooke helped me and again...I found someone who was so willing to take the time, bringing out samples of all my furniture, to help me choose the perfect rug. She even suggested a book to me, when we chatted about cooking! At Bassett, their salespeople truly take the time to find out your likes and your budget, then they work with you to create a living space that you will love. I went in to their store overwhelmed and having no idea where to start to create this look I wanted, except to buy a big shiplap clock for over my imaginary couch and an industrial farmhouse chandelier. Terese brought my dreams of this look to life. I would not shop anywhere else...

Staff are good people and very talented. Will continue to send business there. They have a lot of great staple items when it comes to well built furniture. I bought this sectional and tables about 7 months ago and love them more each day. My only criticism I have is the fabric I chose for the sofa. If you have pets or a large family, I don’t suggest a light color sofa, it won’t hold up. It’s been difficult to keep clean. I’ve seen this fabric on many different items in several different stores not just at Bassett. I actually bought an office chair with the identical fabric. I guess it’s a huge seller in the furniture industry but just avoid light colors if you don’t want a high maintenance sofa. Love the marble tables (Keswick Coffee table and side tables) and after adding extra clips to the bottom of the sectional to keep it together better, I still love it. (Weldon sectional) The brackets that hold the sofa together slide apart very easily so we purchased a removable clip system to keep it together. Every sectional I’ve had always comes apart so it’s not just this sofa. If you don’t want this issue, just get two sofa’s or a sectional without the extra...

Bought a couch and loveseat. Couldn't decide on a fabric. Salesperson came to our home with numerous samples so that we could decide. Furniture arrived on time. There was a small cut on the arm welting. Delivery person took picture of problem and called it in immediately. Within 10 minutes we received a phone call acknowledging receipt of problem and letting us now that it was being worked on. An hour later we were called again and told that replacement arm fabric was ordered. Two days later our salesperson called to let us know that she was keeping on top of the problem. About 2 1/2 weeks later we were contacted that the arm fabric piece was received and the next day the installer called to arrange delivery/installation. The day after installation we were called to be sure that everything was satisfactory. Needless to say we were beyond impressed with how our problem was resolved quickly and professionally.
