Bridgeport Health Department — Local services in Bridgeport

This department does nothing to help a tenant who has to constantly deal with my home smelling of nothing but marijuana. I called for help and the person who answered stated they don’t do nothing about that. I have medical issues and I just moved from one place because of the same reason. I was told that when I signed the lease this was a smoke free building and if smoke inhabits my home I was to report it.. I did to the landlord constantly and nothing.. so I called to file a complaint with this department and again nothing. I was told they don’t help on those situations. The police doesn’t help either.. ridiculous.. I guess the only way you can get help in Bridgeport is by being a problem, on drugs, mentally unstable, homeless, and smoke or sale marijuana. I don’t do any of those things and I can’t even get someone to speak to my landlord about this extreme marijuana smell on...

I contacted the BPT Health Dept by phone for help with some documents that Vital Records had forgotten to stamp with the embossed seal. Without the seal, it's not a certified document. The person who answered at the main number was helpful and also went above and beyond to try and find someone to help me, including walking over to that department to see if anyone was available. I was lucky enough to get someone in that Vital records department, and they were very pleasant and helpful as well. I am grateful for the help I received today, and for everyone who I spoke with today. I live in AZ and certainly can't pop over to speak to someone in person.
