This mall is not trucker friendly!! We arrived this morning to go to planet fitness. We did not see any no overnight parking signs so of course we parked where planet fitness is located. We went to sleep since it was 3:00am. The plan was to get up early to go to gym. So we get up, getting dressed, and hear someone banging on the out driver side door aggressively. Who do I see mall security!! He states you have been here since 6am and you gotta leave. (Very rudely I must add) I then asked for his supervisor. He responded by saying the supervisor is the one who told me to tell you to leave. Of course I'm unhappy I call inside to the mall to talk to the security supervisor. He states that there was overnight parking at one time but other trucks decided to make mall parking lot look like a truck stop so they stopped allowing trucks to park. But once again no signs stating this that you can see. So end result is you can park here for 2hrs only to workout and leave. My problem is I workout longer than two hrs when I go to gym. Why is there a limit if I'm in the planet fitness gym? What's the point of having a membership that I can't use due to mall regulations. That has nothing to do with planet fitness!!! Fyi: Don't come here if your a trucker because they discriminated against us! Because of truckers that's how your products arrive and stay making money. Next time think about decisions your making...
ย ย ย Read moreTo the reviewer about the single exit, keep in mind that most, if not all stores have their separate exits as well that employees use to distribute stock and deliver items, and in the event of an emergency, the managers should allow for customers to escape using those doors, and it would distribute the exiting population more evenly around the mall's perimeter. I do agree though at there should be additional exits around the parking loop connecting Barnetts Run road in terms of driving out.
That said, there are obvious signs of weakness, and given that Clarksburg is fairly far from a major city, clearly shows the challenges of maintaining business in the smartphone and online age. The two remaining anchors are Target and Elder-Beerman, with JCPenney and Sears having shot down over the past year, with Marshalls, Old Navy, and JoAnn sort of being mini-anchors, and there is a good movie theater. The food court has seen better days, but there is still a pizza joint, Subway, and Chick-fil-A. Still, given the area's demographics, being fairly far from a major city, this mall does a fair job with respect to having an appropriate amount of space to have the proper efficiency. I'd wish that small market malls would survive, but sadly, the trend...
ย ย ย Read moreAs always I was unimpressed!! 90 seconds after entering Target a broken shelf lying in the aisle sliced my leg open. Blood puddling in my shoes, 2 employees watching, I hobble over to the power chairs in the corner. My daughter was at customer service desk so I asked her to get me a wet towel from bathroom. Now three employees watching I then ask if there is possibly a first aid kit somewhere. One of them respond by walking in the back room only to return several minutes later to exclaim that first aid kit was empty. She now heads to the back of the store to check yet another empty first aid kit. After retrieving a box of band-aids from the health and beauty aisle she returns. She then hands me a band-aid and walks away, nothing said. After sitting there for a few more minutes I realized that know one could even be bother to find out how I was injured. So I asked my daughter to have them remove the broken piece of shelf from the aisle. When she requested that one of the two that witnessed my accident remove the broken object they acted like it was not their responsibility.
So, No my experience at Target was not good. Actually it was...
