Michaels — Local services in Bridgeport

This Michael's is just like the rest of the chain's stores. They seem to have stunting for everyone. They are just just starting to put out Xmas ribbons and stuff. Lots of great Halloween idem on sale! I'm a planner paper craft kinda gal and I was definitely happy with all the Stamps and stickers they have on the shelves. Store very clean. Employees asking if you need help. (Little warning. I've been here two or three times & had this problem each time, not a huge problem! If you are in a rush leave plenty of time to cash out. Each time there was a line of 3 or 4 of us with one cashier. The cashier just focused on the one customer and did take little longer than should. In fact last time I was there a young women came up to the cashier,obviously senior employee to cashier, saw 4 of us in line. She told cashier just when your done with everyone please work on the display we talked about. Looked at all of us again, walked out saying she'll be back. Anyone in customer service or sales would have stopped and for 2mins helping the young women with the customersthen going off to wherever. Just give yourself an extra mins of you need to be somewhere) otherwise...

I do not visit any Michaels regularly, but my understating is that they are a decent place to get your arts and crafts supplies from; for the most part, it should be an uneventful trip. I brought a very large piece to be framed and my experience was awful. They ended up creasing the print and blaming us for it being that way, the back of it kept peeling up and the random employee who stepped in to "help out" was condescending and told us that it "should" not happen again because they "double check it 3 times" just as he is asking someone passing by for double tape so he can tape down the piece that is coming up right as we were speaking. Unfortunately, it was a gift and my choice was either return it and get my money back or take it as it was. When leaving and I asked for protective packaging they stated they may not have cardboard big enough... hmmm maybe if you sell it carry packaging big enough to protect it from your store to my house? Lesson learned, buy supplies there? Maybe... but go elsewhere for framing help. It made it home safe, lucky for us the crease is barely noticeable because of the glare on the glareless glass we...

Good craft store. They carry just about everything"Crafty" from scrapbooking, paints, canvases, crochet yarn & accessories, fabrics, sewing supplies, Christmas ornaments, garland, jewelry making, iron-on designs & so much more. I downloaded their app & received great coupons that I used & saved quite a lot of money & I recommend you download the app to save a few dollars. Only one thing I wish they would carry is "Premixed Pouring Paint" & unfortunately they do not carry it. I Definately recommend Michael's to everyone who enjoys crafts.... UPDATE 9/20/2022; Stopped in to get buttons for yarn project and finally after 10 minutes looking for buttons I found them; They were hidden behind a sliding door panel, which makes it difficult to find in sewing department. Personally I think items should be placed where you can see them, not hidden. Some people wouldn't know to slide panel door to find item. Store itself needs to be more in order, a bit unkempt. Would really like to see more of a yarn selection; not much to offer. Please give a Thumbs up for my review...greatly...
