Today I came to purchase a few items as I do twice a week. Understanding that there’s more of a chance to pass germs and possibly risk being affected by Covid I chose to make my payment via debit. One of the items I was planning on purchasing was a 6 pack of beer. I chose the self service line as I wanted to keep any interaction with others to a minimal. After swiping all the items in my cart the computer prompted me to ask for help as I had an item that was age restricted. I proceeded to call an associate who's name I will keep undisclosed let me know that “we don’t take ID on the phone any more. I said that’s strange because I shop here as I live right up the street at least twice a week. And I have never had this issue. I proceeded to ask to speak to a manager as I’m sure this situation can easily be worked out. She said she contacted the manager and she would be with me shortly. After waiting about 5 minutes Daniel Cramer who claimed to be the manager approached me by saying “we don’t allow anyone to use Identification on their cellular devices” I said that make no sense. And tried showing him my identification on my phone. As I did he kinda jumped back a bit like I had sneezed on him or something and said how it was store policy. Long story short I decided not to do business with this establishment due to our not seeing eye to eye on the matter. After asking for his information to file a complaint, and talking to a follow customer about the issue( who also shops there frequently) Daniel Cramer said “ your making a scene now I’m going to have to ask you to leave” took a nice drive with my top down and down jazz playing to ShopRite. Ended up saving $10 beer and all! I hope they start approaching these situation a little better. They lost a loyal customer today...
Read moreAs I was leaving the store I had my 2 grandchildren (age 3). I was holding each one by the hand and my grand son bumped into the cart of an employee who I believe does the cleaning. I apologized to him for my grandson bumping into him. Do you know this employee told me to “control” my kids! I was flabbergasted. I said how dare you his just a small kid. I immediately asked for the manager. As I was explaining to the manager what I just experience the employee came to us and said to the general manage “she is talking about me boss.” And this employee on front of his manager told me again to control my kids. Manager just told him to go upstairs. A few hours later I returned to the store to pick up my medicine at the pharmacy. Do you know he saw me. As I was walking I could hear him laughing. I’ve decided I will not return to this store and I will transfer all my medicines to a different pharmacy all together. This all happened on...
Read moreDisgusting! Front Deli underneath the glass where bread is stored. Old water stained cardboard Mouse Traps,Scraps of Dried Meat, Food Crumbs, ripped newspaper, fallen Bags of Bread & plastic bags. The Broken Dirty Floor Tiles look like it hasn’t been scrubbed in years. I called the manager on duty 2/5/25 @ 5pm. He was quite dismissive and told me that they don’t have a Mouse Problem and the Exterminators come regularly. I said that may be but then I pulled the bread racks out and pointed to the old cardboard mouse traps, dried meat shavings and debris. I said regardless this area should be Deep Cleaned and orderly. This would not fly in his house I’m sure. He had no choice but to agree and say he will take care of it. This store is Neglected,Dirty and Falling Apart. This is a Top Down problem. We deserve better in Bridgeport. Trumbull S&S, Target, Big Y are just another few minutes...
