I visited Red Lobster yesterday to celebrate a special occasion with my daughter, as it was her choice for our celebration dinner. Unfortunately, what should have been a joyful experience turned into a huge disappointment.
To start, the cheddar biscuits, which are usually a staple, were soggy and lacked any of the usual flavor or texture — they were actually quite unpleasant. Things got worse when I discovered a hair in my food, which is completely unacceptable and unsanitary. As if that wasn’t enough, the pasta dish I ordered had a spoiled odor that was very off-putting and made me question whether the ingredients were fresh at all.
I politely brought this to the attention of our server, and instead of concern or a genuine attempt to resolve the issue, I was met with a blank, dismissive expression. I understand that the food industry comes with many challenges, but when customers are spending their hard-earned money, quality and respect are non-negotiable.
I also attempted to speak with the manager, but rather than taking ownership or showing concern, he dismissed my experience completely, insisting that everything was fresh and fine. It was clear from his body language and tone that he didn’t want to be bothered and saw my concerns as an inconvenience.
This experience was disheartening — not because I was looking for a discount or a free meal, but because the entire experience, from food to service, was subpar. As someone who’s visited Red Lobster many times over the years, I can say this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. The lack of customer care, combined with the decline in food quality, is unacceptable for a restaurant that once held a strong, positive reputation in the community.
It’s truly disappointing to see a once-beloved establishment go so far downhill. I hope this review is taken seriously and that changes are made to bring Red Lobster back to the standard that many of us remember — where the food was good, the service was kind, and the experience...
Read moreThis experience could have been 4.5 - 5 but it is what it is. My boyfriend and I finally made it up to Red Lobster to use a $25 gift card. We were going later in the afternoon so we planned to grab frozen margaritas and mussels at the bar with some biscuits to go. However, when we got there none of the bar staff was out front and the table at the bar was full of napkins and other tableware stuff. They basically came out a few minutes later like, "Yea, what y'all was waiting for? Did you order to go? ... the table's being used for napkins." Okay, but the entire time NOBODY was working that table - even when we left 40 minutes later. Nor were they making any attempts to have it clear for would be customers. At any rate we got a table and proceeded to place our order. The waitress was very good but you could tell that she wasn't the happiest with us not ordering more. The drinks tasted good even though it was questionable as to whether or not any alcohol was actually used. I got a berry mango daquiri and bae had the Bahama Mama. Biscuits was fiyah and the mussels we're good, which I expected. They've been consistent with those...
Read moreOn my visit to this establishment I indulged in the crab linguine Alfredo dish, I was thoroughly disappointed and blown away at how they can brand themselves a seafood restaurant. The crab had absolutely no flavor and still had some cartilage, not to mention the pasta not having enough barely flavored alfredo sauce dispersed evenly throughout instead all the sauce was at the bottom (there wasn’t even salt and pepper at the tables to help alleviate the lack of flavor). What hurts the most was the fact that I was charged $20 for this mediocre dish. I started to taste test my friends food that also got seafood, the shrimp scampi was flavorless, the fish and chips was the greasiest cut of fried fish ive ever had (legitimately had better at Popeyes) and the lobster was nothing to write home about. The only person that genuinely enjoyed their food was a buddy of mine that ordered a burger. Which is mind boggling to me as this is a seafood restaurant. The only highlights of my experience at this establishment was the waitress and the complimentary biscuits. Absolutely dissatisfied and I don’t see myself ever...
