I went to Dr.Chen because I had been told by my primary that I needed to because I had multiple herniated discs and severe degenerative disc disease. I was so excited thinking someone would finally help me even if he didn’t think I needed surgery I thought he would be able to help me with another route. He walked in and said so why are you here? Dr. Chen is absolutely the best! He describes everything going on and makes sure I understood everything. I know more about the brain than I ever have. His care and compassion is amazing! After he removed most of my tumor and I was in the hospital, nurses and staff learned that he was my surgeon. Everyone spoke so highly of him and said that they would always recommend him first or choose him to perform their surgery. This speaks volumes! I told them all that I already knew he was the best! I don't know where I would be without Dr. Chen. He is the most honest, caring, professional, knowledgeable doctor I've ever dealt with. I had severe spinal stenosis with myelopathy and several herniated discs in my neck. Dr. Chen operated on me and literally saved my life. He fused my c3 through C7 vertebrae. He kept me from becoming paralyzed and probably worse. I'm a very large person and the risks were high. My life has completely changed.
