On Monday July 21,2025 around 1:00-1:10pm. I went to the Spectrum store (Bridgeton location). I was having technical issues with my phone. My phone screen was frozen and unresponsive. I couldn’t make phone calls, turn off the phone to reset it, and I couldn’t text . I figured since I got my phone from Spectrum maybe they can help me or advise the proper actions to take to get this issue resolved.
I walk in and I barely got to check in on the pad. I’m assuming she was the store manager. The tone in her greeting was off and rude. I was explaining to her what’s going on with my phone etc. she did not let me finish and she stated with an attitude “we do not fix phones, your only two options are Call the insurance company or I can sell you a new phone”. In my mind I’m like I can’t even call out that’s why I’m here and secondly I just got this phone not even a month ago! She did not pull up my information or try to help me with other options. I explained to her that I can’t call out because my screen is frozen. She stated with an “Again like I said , call the insurance company or I can sell you a phone”. I said angrily because she was rude to me not once but twice. I said “give me the number.” And I walked out called the insurance number and they could not find my number in the system which lets me know when I set up the phone in the store. Insurance was not added.
The professionalism in this interaction was not present and as a Spectrum is not right. There was a professional way to handle the situation. I will not be returning back to this store. If the manager acts like that I can only imagine how she runs that store. If I have to drive out my way to get better customer service at a different location I will do that. The interaction made me so upset I wanted to cancel my services but I realized I’m still paying on this device. Spectrum you all need to do better with your employees that are working in your stores. The display at the Bridgeton, Missouri store has a digital readout of the next customer in line when the employees are done trying to shift you to the next department or next store and you continue to return because your problem has not been solved they simply let you set for hours, the most disgraceful example of customer service I have ever witnessed and business ethics at the lowest. Companies so large seem to have the false sense of security that they can't fail we can look at some examples and foil that idea. I just want to waste as much of spectrum's time as they have of mine, this company is out of control and some sort of Monopoly and needs to be crushed by the American consumer. It's one thing to be put on hold or sent to another department on the phone after an hour or several hours but it's another thing to be told simply go to this other location 15 miles away and you can trade out your phone that is damaged then arriving and there be no phone and again terrible customer service with mealy mouth employees who lie and simply pass you on to another person or boldly ignore you taking customers in front of you, disgraceful and disgusting.    Read moreI didn’t have any problems while visiting the store to activate my new phone last January I was switching from tmobil & was keepin g my same number was offered a free line for a year so I didn’t think I’d be charged for the free phone til January 2025 since that’s when my service started I guess their year is only 9 months because I’m being charged for the free line & have tried chatting w/customer service to get the $29.99 taken off there with no luck I’ve called twice I paid the bill of what I should owe the girl said she would get it taken care which she did not she took my card information paid what I should owe then right after she took our the correct amount she then took our $29.99 as a separate purchase which I never gave her permission to take it out I told her to only take the $64 which was what I owed so these people are scanners & do not try & help their customers by doin g what is right I should’ve never switched to...
