We had our daughter’s wedding reception at the Brigham Academy Center in the upstairs grand ballroom and could not have asked for or imagined a more perfect venue. With the breathtaking windows and lighting and the high ornate ceiling it was magical, like Cinderella at the ball. Both the bride’s and groom’s families are from out of town, coming as far as from Atlanta, Georgia, and we had no one local. The staff at the Academy were the only reason we could do this at all. Monica, our first and main contact, was immediately excited and supportive, responding promptly and professionally to emails, calls, and even showing the venue at last minute notice when we had unexpected trips and could visit Brigham City. Monica and Briggee made great suggestions on our layout and plans. On the day of our event, the tables, chairs, arches, and accessories were set up, ready for the florist and our families to immediately start decorating. Special thanks to our young staff the evening of our event who were friendly, eager to help, and very professional: Porter Molgard, Abby Rust, Briden Reeder, and Rachael Black. Even trying to do casual or on a budget, weddings are expensive, with the venue cost a big ticket item (if you don’t want the gym in the church building). My friends in Atlanta, where wedding venues have long waits (some over a year) and outrageous price tags, cannot believe what a deal (steal!) we got with the Academy, especially since the price included tables and chairs with accessories and tablecloths available for a nominal/reasonable price. Such a perfect event at an...
Read moreThe Event coordinator that I talked to stood us up two times to even see the event center. We had set up two appointments over the phone, and then we texted for confirmation of the walkthrough, and she would never show up. She said she forgot or something came up within an hour of us confirming the appointment. We were given an hour's notice before they permitted us to set up the night before. The girl who came to unlock the door for us when we were setting up was amazing! She was so kind and willing to do anything to help us. She helped us put tables and decorations up. The morning of the luncheon, the person who was there to help us was extremely rude. She had no water out and ready for us as we had asked; she was on her phone on social media the whole time. She rushed everyone out 2 hours before we were supposed to leave. They told us that if there were anything out of place or even a crumb on the ground, we would not be given our $250 deposit back. The luncheon was a blast, but it would have been better at a different location. Due to Covid-19, there were not many locations available for us to use, so we...
Read moreMy husband and I held our wedding luncheon and reception here, and it was PERFECT! We wanted a larger space to accommodate all our friends and family, without breaking the bank. The Brigham Academy Center is a BEAUTIFUL venue, and their team is so kind and helpful to work with. Both Monica and Bridgie went above and beyond to help answer questions, let us walk through multiple times, and assist with day-of things.
The Grand Ballroom is a gorgeous room with large windows and beautiful architecture on the walls and the ceilings. The BAC team set up tables and chairs with linens for a small added fee, making decorating for the event super easy! They have a closet full of decorations available to use for a very fair extra charge. We took advantage of that, and were not disappointed! The only issue we had is that the sound system was not as loud as we hoped for the dance party, but we easily fixed that by using the mic system.
Thank you, BAC, for an awesome evening!!
