From the moment I walked in I wanted to walk out. My husband who is a carpenter was looking to see what quality of boots they have. When we walked in a woman sales person greeted us asking what we were looking for and what size. My husband answered her with 14 and a half. She snottily replied that there is no such thing is as 14.5, which he is well aware of, but trying to let her know that if you don't have a size 15 we are out of luck. He proceeded to tell her he was looking for boots that were not water proof and she picked out ones that were trying to explain the technology behind water proof. There's a reason why he didn't want water proof, they're extremely stuffy. A carpenter in his 30s who has been through plenty of pairs of boots knows wheat he likes and what he doesn't like. She was snotty and condescending the entire time we were there. My husband has recently switched to gym shoes so she pulled a pair out and he was like If it weren't for the bright orange I might be interested, to which she replied "well this is what we consider neutral". She was patronizing and had a terrible tone of voice the entire time. She is worse than a used car salesman and I should know, because I use to sell cars. I actually liked a pair of black Ugg boots, but I heard how she was speaking to my husband and I wanted nothing to do with her and certainly not to buy shoes from her. I can honestly say I have no desire to ever step foot in that store again because of her. The gentlemen there did seem nice, but we had very little...
Read moreI have had four surgeries on my foot and buying shoes is often difficult. This is the most wonderful place to buy shoes. The staff asks you to have a seat and what type of shoe you are looking for. They bring every pair, loosen them, put them on, and tie the laces. Each walk in a new pair is unique and they want to know everything you're experiencing with each pair. They often know what shoe is best based on my complaints about other shoes. I love leaving knowing I have found the perfect show for me. They keep all my orders on file and will place an order if they don't have the shoe or size in stock. I have come back every year for the past 5 years and wouldn't think about going anywhere else....
Read moreMoved to town several years back and drove by the store countless times but never went in. Finally visited the other day and was very pleasantly surprised. The store itself is lovely, clean and decorated with seasonal displays (and the new leather smell was divine, as a very olfactory person). Helpful, non-pushy staff. Good selection. Will be frequenting Duy's as our first stop for our shoe needs vs. a chain store in the future. Always happy to support a local small business, especially when you can see the care they put into...
