United States Postal Service — Local services in Bristol

In the last year I have had 4 packages say “delivered” that were not. Every time I called the USPS in Bristol I was told they would contact the deliverer. “Well the deliverer says he put it in your mailbox or the stairway (?! Why when I have a mailbox!!!!) - I’ll send someone out to look around”. (Btw- my mailbox is a locked box that only I and the post office have a copy to). Thanks, but that’s a waste of time since it’s not in my mailbox where it belongs and why would it be in a stairway?! Amazon and eBay didn’t have an option for insurance on the packages and never having an issue before I didn’t think twice. But when the tracking says delivered - EVEN WHEN IT IS NOT- there’s not a thing you can do. This coming Thursday and Friday are services for my younger cousin who unexpectedly passed away last week. I went on Amazon and bought Oakland Raiders earrings to wear to his services. Tracking says delivered- no package in my mailbox- other mail is there though. I am very upset with the employee who took my passport application. He neglected to inform me of the gross extended wait time due to Covid. He waited until he ran my card and handed me my receipt to tell me it would take 10 - 12 weeks, and that l could have paid an extra $60 to have it expedited.
