I took my son on a campus tour. He has food allergies and it was very troubling that none of the restaurants had allergy info posted. Also, the employees really could not answer our question about the food being peanut safe. Because this was a large event with many high school students visiting, they had an ice cream social serving homemade ice cream. None of the people could tell us if it was peanut safe or not. Some of you who do not have food allergies in your life may not think this is a big deal. To my son, who is extremely allergic, this was actually a dealbreaker for him. In comparison, Iowa State list food allergens on every single menu. This gives him an extreme peace of mind to do the basic thing a human can do, which is eat. The overall facility itself is very modern. The bookstore is very nice.
