The gardens are absolutely beautiful especially from June through October, but even if you visit at other times of the year they are decorated seasonally and there is always something to do or see. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There are many special events and activities held there throughout the year. Right now is Garden Glow where all of the gardens are lit with Christmas lights and Santa comes for a visit every evening until December 24th. The cost is minimal at about $5. This helps keep the gardens beautiful as funding was drastically cut by SDSU a couple years ago and the gardens had to raise their own funds to keep well maintained and planted with all the gorgeous flowers. There are SO many great garden options to get married in (some garden spaces are large for bigger weddings and some are small and tucked away, but all have their charm!)

I haven't been there since. I hate that they did that. $4 to get in, for what I and the rest of Brookings enjoyed for free for so many years.
