Hooley is always consistent with the food the kitchen sends out. Service may vary but usually the servers are nicer than the bartenders. I normally get takeout but I decided to sit at the bar for lunch. I ordered my usual potato skins, side salad and Hooley hunks. The bartender was nice but a bit distracted by her friends/regulars that were patrons as well. She was great about recommendations for beers and hard ciders. My meal was prepared perfectly. They give you A LOT of potato skins per order. They are definitely shareable and huge in size. Perfectly melted cheese, generous on bacon and nicely greasy. The bacon could be more crispy as it was still chewy and more scallions were definitely needed. Also these aren't typical bar food as you need a fork and knife to consume. The Hooley hunks are lightly breaded freshly cut chicken breast pieces, fried and tossed in sauce. I got Carolina Gold BBQ. they are delicious and that sauce is a nice balance of sweet, savory and spicy. The side salad had spring mix lettuce and typical toppings. I was impressed at the quality.

Not the worst experience, but by far not the best. We were not greeted at all except by a guy who was drunk at 2:00 at the bar. It took a while for anyone to notice us to be seated, but eventually we were. They were not busy and did not seem short staffed at all. We were visiting from the hocking hills area and kind of wish we chose somewhere else. My menu was disgusting and had who knows on it. Based on the burger pricing, you would expect a side of fries included. Nope. They are an extra cost. They weren’t bad but were weird. The burger seemed homemade which is nice, but one side was so bland while the other side had a ton of seasoning where you almost could eat that part. The service wasn’t great. Our drinks were never refilled. Anything that normal servers would do automatically we had to ask for every time. Again, they weren’t very busy at all. This was a Monday at 2:00. So safe to say it wasn’t the biggest disappointment we’ve ever had, but we definitely won’t be back.

August 2022: I've been here a few times before and have tried the loaded tots, which are delicious. Never had potato tots with corned beef on them. You gotta try them to know. This time, I opted to go with the Irish egg rolls, a unique concoction with corned beef and cheese in it. Very tasty. Pros: * The bar and seating area is very spacious. They have outdoor seating as well. * Friendly staff who served our large group very well. * Parking is plentiful. * Food is very good. See my explanation for the Irish rolls. Between the loaded tots and the Irish rolls, people cannot go wrong. * Variety of drink offerings. Cons: * Did not have enough IPAs on there drink menu. I was looking for Great Lakes Brewery Chill Wave and they did not have it. Conclusion: I shall return.

Kate was my bartender and server. What a joy! Both the drinks and the food were absolutely fantastic. I don’t know how they make the price of the kind of thin cut. Yeah puppy I asked her she couldn’t tell me but other than it was deep fried and I’m telling you I’ve never had french fries like that before. Plus they had this truffle powder stuff on it. Delicious. I had that mac & cheese bake. Also top notch loved it. My sister had a patty melt, which was also a delicious according to her we had the seasonal martinis. Mine was an apple pie and hers was the caramel espresso martini. She said they were delicious and I do mean they we had more than one. The parking is great atmosphere is fantastic. I would say if you’re in the area drop by.

We were in Cleveland and planned on attending an outdoor concert. It was rained out so we returned to our hotel in Brooklyn, Ohio. Across from the hotel, I noticed this sports bar called The Hooley Pub. It was on a Wednesday night and it was around 9pm. I decided to head over and get a drink. It was not packed at all. There was a trivia night going on and they were just finishing up. I sat at the bar and waited longer than I normally did for service. I ordered one of their signature cocktails. It was called a Watermelon Sugar High. It was delicious. I then ordered a double shot of dark rum and nursed it at the bar. It's a nice little place and I was tempted to order food but decided against it. I definitely shall return.

We ordered our food through Hooley Houses website for delivery. It took an hour and a half to get to us (we live three miles up the road) and it was all cold and soggy and absolutely disgusting. My husband ordered the stew and we asked for bread on the side. It was tossed into the middle of the container and so soggy he had to scoop it out. No care given to any of this food at all. I went here once before a couple years ago and thought it was nasty then but in the spirit of St. Patty's Day, I thought I'd give it a go again. Nope! Just nope! To call this slop Irish cuisine is a joke. Don't waste your time. There are better Irish themed restaurants in Cleveland. This place is broke down Bennigans.
