We went with someone that we know that is a little older and needed our help to get a panel board and piece of trim. Seems easy enough, right?!? They needed to be cut to the needed size. It took someone on their own staff 10 minutes to find someone that was "qualified" to do the needed measuring and cutting. We finally met the qualified worker to do this for us. This worker was MAYBE 19/20 years old...
His measurement , I'm sure was fine to start, yet he apparently didn't know how to work the cutting equipment the correct way. After he cut it, from top to bottom, he ended up cutting it again on the way back up! Still yet, after that happened, and his coworker told him that he had done it wrong, he didn't have the idea to just measure it again and make sure there wasn't any l problems with the material.
He just went on and cut the trim piece, at the same exact size, that the other piece was supposed to be. Since nobody that was with us noticed what happened, when he was done with the second piece, I took the trim and simply placed it at the top of the panel, as well as the bottom, and it was off by 3/8".
Now, most people might not have an issue with this, but those that truly do have pride in the exact measurements, will appreciate the fact that the worker was questioned and made to correct his error, when they were just going to just let it go, like nothing happened.
Did I mention that I am in no way a contractor, but I do know that perfect, clean lines, give the best and most beautiful outcomes on jobs being done.
Hope this helps you to remember to double check what you...
Read moreThe General Manager (Leah) at this location is one of the single most generous human beings I’ve encountered. She is not only a rockstar in my mind, she genuinely understands the importance of outstanding customer service as well as priding herself with a level of professionalism, care, concern and follow-through every customer desires and deserves.
On a recent trip to Florida, my husband neglected to provide our house-sitter with the proper set of keys to enter our home. With new locks recently installed, our poor dog would have no way of being relieved over several days. It was an utter nightmare to consider the strife our dog would endure and the condition of our home, upon return.
From a spark of invention in my mind and a lot of patience from the lovely staff at Home Depot of Cleveland, as well as Orlando, we were able to align on taking action in solving this trick of a unfortunate situation. With major assistance from Leah, she was able to confirm the ability and technology to trace a key in one location and create it physically at another, was possible!
With endless assistance from Leah (in Ohio), my home key was traced in Florida and physically manufactured in Cleveland! Our house-sitter was able to pick-up the new keys in less than 15-minutes and we were able to enjoy the entirety of our trip! I cannot begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for Leah and her team. It is my sincerest hope that Home Depot corporate is made aware of this review and provides the level of recognition and kudos this team deserves! Thank you again Leah, you...
Read moreThe last few times I’ve come in to shop I noticed the disrespectful and unprofessional behavior of the young men who work there toward me and many other customers. On multiple occasions they have behaved aggressively when they think a customer wants to approach them in order to ask a question. They often stand in the way of customers while they try to pass with carts and I’ve had more than one stare me down instead of making way for me to pass. The behavior of these young employees is distasteful, unprofessional and disrespectful. I’d rather drive down the street to Menards where the employees are friendly and informative. This issue needs to be promptly addressed. If I come to The Home Depot to spend my hard earned money and I’m met with disrespect or unprofessional service again, I will make it a point to speak up loudly and get the management involved. This treatment is unacceptable and will no longer be tolerated. On the other hand, the women who work at the registers are always nice and very professional. They are a great representation of the store and create a great experience every time I’ve shopped at the Home Depot. I’ve even addressed the behavior of the young men to a few of them and they agree that some of the employees are rude and unwelcoming. I don’t expect to experience “steelyard” vibes when I shop at the Brookpark location but it’s definitely heading in...
