If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I had a prescription sent here at 9am since a family member had surgery this morning. I went to go pick up the meds at 5pm… waited in the drive thru for over 30 minutes for them to tell me the prescription was not ready! They told me to go inside or pull around to the end of the line. Almost 9 hours and nobody could fill the prescription? This is after I waited for 3 cars ahead of me… who took over 10 minutes each to get their prescription, yet they wouldn’t let me wait the supposed “10 minutes” they needed to fill the prescription. Have guy also tried to make things “better” by saying “we have 817 prescriptions, Im sure yours was in that bunch, so it’s taking longer”. BUT OVER 9 HOURS?! For someone who had surgery and NEEDS the medicine??? To make things worse, I told the guy I couldn’t wait another hour and would have to come back, however he FAILED TO MENTION that their hours online are WRONG. It says they close at 9pm, however, I found out the hard way that they close at 7pm!! I got there at 7:15pm and the lady behind the prescription counter said she wouldn’t help me. I explained my situation and she gave me attitude and said “our hours changed the past few months, this is nothing new. We close at 7, I can’t help you”. I told her I’m new to the area and the hours online are wrong AND the man never told me that they’d be closed at 7pm when I made it clear that I couldn’t come back by then. After arguing with her she finally says “you can go to the Walgreens on tryon street” and I told her that I wouldn’t be able to get the prescription from them and she assured me that they would be able to fill it. It’s a controlled substance though, of course they couldn’t fill it! However, I decided to go their and give it a try and surely enough she was wrong and they could NOT fill it. Id be more understanding if this prescription wasn’t called in at 9am for a serious surgery. But 9 hours is ridiculous. Absolutely disappointed in the customer service, overall service and satisfaction of Walgreens pharmacy. Also, if anyone working there cares… you should probably update your pharmacy...
Read moreThis pharmacy discriminates against Medicaid recipients. I had a horrible experience with them when I went to go pick up my prescriptions. I was informed by the answer machine that my prescriptions refills were ready so I went as I got there I turned in a paper prescription I was told that they could not fill it because it was not signed properly by the doctor basically they were trying to say I was forging one then I was told one of the other prescriptions I get every single month was not covered by Medicaid. It was I end up having to get out of line call my doctor's office get back in line cuz they told her they would go ahead and fill them when I got in line they turn around and told me again one of them was not filled.I had the head nurse on the phone on speaker. This is wrong I spent every bit of 2 hours dealing with this. What's the purpose of this they just don't treat people right, that have Medicaid who are poor and need medical coverage fairly They rather save all their drugs for those who have other kind of coverage such as Edna or Blue Cross they don't want to give them to you. They want to make you wait they, give you half a prescription, then they charge the whole entire price to Medicaid One of my prescriptions came to $163 they only gave me a 30-day supply of it, but they sent Medicaid the whole entire bill. stay away from this place. I am also going to make a public and formal complaint about this Walgreens to the...
Read moreI stopped filling my prescriptions here about a decade ago due to the bad service and from what I've heard it has not improved whatsoever. I understand if a place is busy there is gonna be a wait, I have no issue with that. But when I'm forced to wait 45 mins for an Rx that I am waiting there in the store for because they are filling scripts for patients that dropped them off and planned to come back to get them at either a later time or the next day, that's when I start to have an issue with be made to wait. I have since started using a Walgreens that's a good deal farther from my home, but I don't mind at all since I know I can go there and if no one else is on the store waiting they will stop what they are doing and have my medicine filled in no more than 5-10 min. Plus both myself and a friend of mine have been told by a pharmacist at this location that they would not fill the prescriptions we had despite them having them in stock at the time. I guess they thought other patients should have their illnesses treated more than us. ALL THAT BEING SAID, I've never had anything but good experiences with the employees that work in the store, so I just stay away from the pharmacy...
