This Walgreens is an immaculate, spacious and floors are kept conditioned and displayed appropriately during seasonal changes. The managers and staff are very professional, friendly and their store behaviors make your shopping experience wonderful. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with returns and pricing. Crystal the pharmacy manager is a gem. She goes beyond to assist you with all of your health needs. She makes herself available even during the busiest times. If you call Crystal she doesnt appear to be bothered or evasive. Her phone etiquette is admirable. She is very professional and accurate when it comes to filling prescriptions.The techs are wonderful always working diligently and the atmosphere that is created in the pharmacy shows the upmost respect to hippa and the security of your personal info. The techs become familiar with their pharmacy customers and address their customers respectfully. Read moreToday around 9:20 AM, I went to Walgreens for a vaccine, and unfortunately, my experience was very concerning. The pharmacy technician appeared nervous and attempted to give me the shot twice, fully inserting the needle both times without actually administering the vaccine. After these two failed attempts, the pharmacist was called over and finally administered the vaccine on the third attempt.
I am concerned that the correct vaccine and a clean, unused needle may not have been used, as the syringe was already open and placed on a tray. At the time, I did not fully process what had happened, but afterward I realized that the same needle had been inserted into my arm multiple times before the vaccine was actually given. This goes against standard vaccine procedure, as a needle should only be used once to maintain sterility.
I am now worried about the potential risk of infection from the repeated punctures with the same needle that had already been exposed. This situation raises serious safety concerns and should be addressed to ensure better training and proper practices, so that other patients do not go through the same experience. The system is BAD, though, updates on my account and texts. My doc sent a prescription on Thursday afternoon, and I got an out of stock note at about 9:30 Friday morning that they were ordering it. Same message all weekend. I called Mon and the pharmacist said that it was just ordered Mon and would be Wed, orders that come in after hours wait until next biz day, but not on weekends.
I have the text from Friday morning saying it was ordered, so the message should have said, we got your order but the pharmacist is out so no action will happen until monday. Something like this at least 25% of the time, I get a message that there is a delay and no action is needed, action is needed or it won't ever go through. Another thing, they say it's too early to refill, insurance coverage, and it can filled the next day. I go the next day, and they say they just ordered it, and it will be in tomorrow.
