On this recent trip I had to get three different employees to help get the sub-total to reflect the Flexible Rewards that I redeemed. The first employee (didnāt catch her name) at the Self Checkout station said that I had to wait 30 minutes for the Rewards to go into effect. I donāt know what she was talking about as I had these Rewards in my app for a couple days. She took my phone to the Customer Service desk to Darshna, who sounded like she was inconvenienced that sheāan employee at the Customer Service deskāwas being asked to help me, a customer.
The Flexible Rewards has very specific language that does not reflect the reality of items in the store. For example, I was trying to redeem a rotisserie chicken that I could redeem for 200 points. On the app it said it was a Natureās Promise rotisserie chicken that was eligible, but it was not. I had to work with the Customer Service desk with a grumpy and unpleasant woman named Darshna. Lots of back-and-forth to explain to her the issue. An employee from the Meat department, Jennifer, was very helpful in figuring out the issue and coming up with a solution while Darshna complained about how hungry she was and how this was an inconvenience to her (not me, the customer.) To redeem the free rotisserie chicken I had to get the store brand chicken, even though the Flexible Rewards said it had to be Natureās Promise.
Another issue that I had during this same trip was redeemed a bag of Giant Brand shredded cheddar cheese. It was a 7 oz bag. The Flexible Reward stated that it needs to be an 8 oz bag. Giant does not sell 8 oz bags of shredded cheese; only 7 oz. Through complaining and overindulgent sighs, Darshna got another employee to find the 8 oz bag of cheese. The other employee (didnāt catch her name) went to the Dairy section and reported back that there were only 7 oz bags and not the 8 oz bag that the Giant app had stated in the Flexible Rewards.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn the morning of 2/16/2024, I made a stop at the Giant store where I have been a loyal customer for the past 25 years. While browsing, my attention was caught by a Mango Margarita priced at $17.99. However, I knew that with my Giant card, the price should be lower. Specifically, it should be listed at $12.99. Intrigued, I decided to grab one, along with my two half-gallon milk products.
To my surprise, when I reached the checkout counter, the Margarita rang up as $17.99, before the $3.00 discount from my card was applied to my total purchase. Curious and seeking clarification, I politely inquired about the price difference with the cashier. Unfortunately, her response indicated that she believed I had made an error. Undeterred, I retrieved the picture I had taken and presented it to her, demonstrating the $12.99 price tag with the card.
Regrettably, she acknowledged that there might have been a mistake, but rather than rectifying the situation professionally, she offered to provide only the $3.00 discount that had already been applied as a card bonus, along with an additional $3.00. I respectfully pointed out that this resolution was still incorrect. According to my understanding, the Margarita should have been priced at $12.99, and with the $3.00 card bonus, the final price should have been $9.99, in addition to the cost of my other purchases.
Despite my efforts to reach a satisfactory resolution, the cashier remained firm in her stance, displaying an unprofessional attitude. In order to avoid any further delay in the only open lane, I reluctantly paid the amount requested and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe used to love Giant food, but in the last few years, they seem to have forgotten the clientele who shop there. There are a lot of Jews in our neighborhood, and it's very difficult to get holiday items in time, if at all. This wasn't always the case. We seem to have been forgotten or overlooked. Now when the holidays come around, they seem to just put everything out there, and hope that maybe some of it might apply. It's like throwing a bunch of spaghetti and meatballs at a wall to see what sticks. Also, on a day-to-day basis, they have been very careless with their groceries. For instance, in June, I bought three large clear trays of eggs, each containing two and a half dozen. Each tray contained at least three broken eggs. I brought them in and exchanged them, and I thought that this was a one-off, since I have been buying these trays of eggs for a few years. Every now and then, as I was passing the aisle, I would check the egg trays to look for damage. If I found some, I would bring it to the attention of one of the staff nearby. Last week, I picked up another tray and checked the bottom, looking for cracks, and not seeing any, I purchased one. When I got home, I found three eggs stuck to the insides of the tray, due to minor cracks in the shells. I was disgusted, but I did not go back to return them. I'll have to change my egg buying habits. Also, what's with not having any more fresh...
