What happened to BGR in Springfield?! It used to serve up good food with friendly service. Now the restaurant in filthy. Our feet stuck to the floor with every sticky step. The counters were greasy, and every container our food was packed in quickly saturated with the grease coming out of the food. Even the bag was covered in grease before we got home. The garlic fries used to be sprinkled with parmisan and garlic and shaken in a clean stainless steel bowl before being put into a cardboard food container. Now the questionable garlic mixture is squirted out of a bottle like ketchup in a large oily puddle in the middle of the fries. This is the photo included. The onion rings were not individual rings, but rather one large fused together lump, and saturated in grease. We ordered milkshakes too. The outside of one cup was covered in sticky, partially dried milkshake. How long had that been there?? Service wasn't terrible but also nothing good about it. Very unlike the BGR of a couple years ago. This was the first time we've been back since the pandemic. I can assure everyone who reads this, we will NOT be going back to BGR in Springfield, VA.

Today was my very first visit to this restaurant, and I was impressed about some of the other new restaurants in the shopping center. I've been out of town for a while, and after being back for a few weeks I could see that this area is making progress. They have a pretty cool concept here pertaining to creating your own burger concept. I've created my own pasta bowl, pizza, and Mongolian bowl. I went ahead and ordered the The Burger which claims it has about 655 calories. For the toppings, I added pepper jack cheese, Apple wood bacon, Beefsteak tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and pickles. I waited less than six minutes for them to prepare it, and soon enough I was looking for a table and ready to eat. After the first bite, I knew that this was a place that I will need to revisit in the future.

First time at BGR....wanted to try a different spot for lunch.... And I wasn't disappointed...I ordered the Western BBQ medium well with fries and it was BIG....and loaded with ham...a burger patty...onion rings.. and bacon....with a steak sauce that really did it justice... Im getting hungry just thinking about how good the burger was....anyway...now the inside of the restaurant was very clean...and surprisingly not hugely busy for a lunch time meal..definitely give it a shot...they also have special meals with exotic meats ...so I may give those a try next time I go.....yes...I did say next time...I will return....👍👍

Amazing burger place! So when you first walk in, it seems like any other type of "burger joint" until you look around. All the table tops have intricate designs made out of pieces of stone. PAC Man, MegaDeath and Bubblicious just to name a few. I found that to be pretty cool since most places will just have generic tables. The chairs reminded me of the kind I had in High School which really helped bring back the retro mood.

So I get to the counter area and see something called the "Greek". Most people will think about Gyro type burger but I am not most people. Being military previously stationed in Germany, I've always been on the lookout for anything that resembled a yufka or a doner. I've had some burgers that tried but none could really get it. Well I decided to try it here and let me tell you, wow! While it's not an exact match, it's as close as your going to get stateside.

I also noticed that they have beer on tap so I asked if I could try a sample. Next thing I know, the General Manager himself (Devin) comes out with samples of all their taps and gives me a detailed run down on each one! I mean, what business does this anymore? Most just want you to order and go away.

Overall, the food, customer service and overall experience of this place is well above standard. I'm truly impressed. Not only will I be going back but I recommend everyone at least...

I've been a burger fanatic for years. I love them, but I am a certified burger connoisseur, and I take my job seriously. So when I say that I am going to review a burger joint, I am going to do it right.

The burger joint I reviewed, I got to try some burgers that are normally not on the menu, but those burgers were nothing special. The biggest compliment I can give to the team at Burger Joint is that they know their customer base, and they know how to please those customers. A lot of the time when I go to a burger joint I'm only getting a burger, fries, and a drink, and I'm getting tired of it quickly. When I go to Burger Joint, I always get a combo with at least one side added on, and I typically get one of their specialty burgers – the Bacon Pierogi Burger, the Grilled Cheeseburger, the Smoked Chicken Sandwich, or the Hawaiian Burger.

The burger joint is a great place to sit down and get a plate of food to soak up the alcohol you might have had at the bar. The place is clean, inviting, and has a friendly staff. The food is pretty good, but the quality of the meat is hit and miss. The burgers are at their best when they are cooked medium rare, but otherwise they are only so-so. The fries and onion rings are best when they are hot and crisp, but they can get cold from sitting out too long. The side dishes are passable, but the mac and cheese is not their...

The Wellington at BGR is one of the best burgers I've had. The onions, blue cheese, and mojo sauce pack a ridiculous amount of flavor, and go well with the burger itself which is no slouch. Toss this thing on some fine china and serve it to me in a tuxedo and I'd be dumb enough to give you $25 for it. It feels like a luxury item, despite just being another fast casual burger.

Their sweet potato fries also have no match, and believe me, I've looked. They were my first introduction to enjoying sweet potatoes, as 7 years ago I had all but written off the orange starch as an obligatory Thanksgiving table garnish, but now I look forward to their sweet potato fries as much as I do the burger. Their Coke machine with a million different options is also a nice touch, and gives you some interesting combos to work with.

For all this raving, I would still not put BGR's burger above Ray's, and the shake's quality and lack of booze bring the restaurant a notch below Zinburger, but it is certainly the cheapest way into high-end burger territory and is still worthy of 5 stars. The fact that this location is very easy to get to with lots of parking and a good amount of seating makes it a...
