Adora Consignment — Local services in Burlington

Beware!!! FAKE DESIGNER HANDBAGS AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Shady OWNER I recently purchased a Michael kors purse at the store and didn't start to use it for about 2 weeks after the purchase. After the third day of using it, the stitching on the sides started to unravel which opened up the side of the purse causing me to lose my ID, cash and makeup. I brought the purse back into the store and talked to the owner Kaylee and asked if she would please exchange it for me since I spent over $100 on a used purse and had only used it for 3 days. I also had my receipt. The owner informed me that she would not exchange it or return it under any circumstances. When I asked her why not that I thought that asking for a trade was within reason. She told me that for all she knew I was lying and was bringing in a different purse trying to scam her. I was completely shocked and insulted by this comment and I really would have thought that someone that owns the store would be more than happy to exchange a purse. With the receipt that it is supposed to be a designer purse. I would think that doing something like that and keeping a customer having them return would be important instead of having bad customer service and Lucy a customer. And then to insult someone by making a comment like that was even more shocking. She then told me that I needed to try to go to Macy's Nordstroms or the outlet mall and return it to one of their those locations because it was a manufacturer's defect. I don't feel like I should try to exchange a purse from a story. I didn't even purchase it at and make it their problem. When I said that to her she just shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know. I'm sorry you feel that way. I ended up going to the outlet mall only because it's a factory direct store and it is the manufacturers and tried to get them to exchange it for me and was told that it was not even a real Michael kors purse. It was a knockoff. So FYI, don't spend money on buying. Supposed designer purses here because they're either knowingly selling knockoffs or don't know how to tell the difference between a knockoff and a legit purse and they also don't stand by anything and allow you to return it or exchange it because they think that you might be trying to scam them and try to be getting a free purse out of the deal or something. I don't know what she really thinks someone would scam a consignment shop for. I'm just completely blown away by the attitude of the owner and the total lack of customer service...

A very unpleasant experience. The woman behind the counter has a huge complex about her little dog which she had sitting on the counter. She accused me of rolling my eyes at the dog, which barked a little when I came in then quieted down. I was actually looking at something on the wall. I petted her and gave her a cookie as I love dogs but the woman mentioned it again when it was my turn. “I did see you roll your eyes at my dog.” Nothing I said would convince her, meanwhile she is apologizing about the dog and how she’s been to several trainers. She barely looked at my clothes then said no thanks. My advice to this woman, is if you are so sensitive about your dog, leave it home and don’t put it in such a scary position, up on a counter being approached by many people. Of course, she will bark. I would not recommend this store, they are extremely unprofessional. As I first entered the store with my infant we were greeted by a very aggressive small dog that barked and growled at us as the woman behind the counter continued to say "he just wants to kiss your kid". My child is 4 months old and I did not want this aggressive dog near me or my child. I was coming in to bring jeans that I had previously purchased a month ago and to exchange them for store credit. The jeans were in the exact same condition as I bought them, and the woman informed me that they were stained and did not make an offer. Not only did this very unprofessional woman waste time the store is also extremely overpriced for what they offer. You can find a better selection on the Facebook marketplace...
