Let me say we are military, traveling with animals. We have traveled for many years, everywhere and in the western US, we usually choose La quinta hotels as they are pet friendly. We have never had any issue with any la quinta, until this particular hotel in Burlington wa. First, a pet fee and paperwork are paid and filled out up front, fine. This was a week stay, and due to covid 19, I guess, service to the room was only provided twice and you pick the days for service upon check in. Well, first service day was the second day, so I skipped it. The second service day came and no service so I called the front desk and scheduled for the next day. No service was again provided for the room, but bags of towels etc were left outside the door. ???? Apparently, unknown to me, as no one mentioned anything about it, I was out and my dogs were crated inside the room, when service was going on. No one, not at time of arrival or ANY other time said that service would not be provided if the room was unattended. So, long story short, went for a week, no cleaning, no clean sheets and the front desk attendant never explained why until it came time to defend themselves at the end of my stay, I was told my dog "growled " (my dog was in a crate it could not get out of) and that's why service wasn't provided, then I was told it was because I wasn't there AND they "didn't know i had pets in there", I paid a pet fee and filled out the paperwork remember, then I was told it was "policy." No one said any of this during check in or at any other time during this horrendous stay. There is no safe place for dogs to relieve themselves at this hotel either, the "pet space" is overgrown and by a dumpster with trash, broken bottles etc. The only "safe" place for them to go is the parking lot in front of the bar next door (which is loud, it is a bar, my dogs didn'tcare for the noise lol). Honestly, this did not seem like a pet friendly location to me at all. I would say for a pet friendly experience choose elsewhere. And btw, this review has been here awhile, no response from la quinta. That says a lot.

I had a good experience. The room was for my birthday. Knowing I was going out and wouldn't be able to drive home to Anacortes so a friend got me the room. The decor is cool. Modern design yet cozy. The room was pretty typical but I really enjoyed the designs. I like the colors and decorI don't know what's up with the cornered entries to the bathrooms and the fridge and microwave there, it was a bit cramped but still it was ok. The staff were exceptionally chill and helpful. They also initiated your needs. One of them let me borrow their own phone cord. This was exceptional service to me. The beds were comfy and springy 😏. Some breakfast was available beyond the breakfast hours. I did have one uneasy experience and that was that someone was able to unlock my room with their key card when I was alone for the night. Luckily they realized and shut the door right away. The employee promptly took care of it. For now on I will make sure All of the locks are secure. The only thing I didn't like was the entrance and exit from the street. Somewhat confusing, especially with the Bigfoot coffee stand there (which I also recommend). You can't cross over lanes. You can only go in one way and out one way so sometimes we had to turn around down the road to enter. I would go back.

My boyfriend and I got a hotel room with our daughter after having our son to get some rest a solidarity. We got a room for 2 days and on the 3rd day we decided to get one more night. On the 3rd day after really not leaving our room I went down stairs to ask for house keeping. Since we haven't left, the trash was piling up, we had no clean towels and the sheets defiantly needed to be changed. My new born soiled on them and spit up on them. While my daughter spilt a drink on hers.. I went down to the lobby around 10:30 am and asked the front desk if house keeping could attend our room. They told us no. That it was after 10 and they would not clean our room. I told them the situation and was still denied house keeping. Even thou check out is at noon. So we slept in soiled sheets and bagged up our trash since no one in the hotel would do it. It was very disappointing

Honestly the stay wasn’t bad. It’s what happened afterward that was repulsive.

A week after staying at this hotel I realized they had not released the deposit from the room. I called to let them know in which I was told it would be refunded. Here I am today (a month later) checking my bank statements to find that the deposit was NOT in fact refunded. I called the credit card company to confirm (because I know sometimes it may take a while to post) the credit card company said there was no return of payment from the La Quinta Inn so I called La Quinta myself. To which an employee told me that it was already sent back. When I told her that’s not what it was showing on my end nor what the credit card company said she started laughing. Then asked for my email so she should send me something saying they paid. At this point I was angry and got loud(because how can you laugh in a someone’s face when you have taken their money?!? No cursing was involved just loudness) I told her that I was going to be reporting it to the credit card company and she said verbatim “they would send the credit card company a statement saying they paid it and that there wasn’t anything else they were going to do about it!” WHILE LAUGHING and literally hung up on me!

Think twice before staying here. Or try to pay with cash. If you’ve stayed here recently check your bank statements because they are taking peoples hard...

Good afternoon John Vestal my name is Julius A Farrar Jr. my wife and I stayed at your Burlington location Feb 3rd and we had a great stay. Because of that great stay we decided to come back as our house is being remodeled (same reason we came the first time). When I checked in we had a completely different experience. When I asked about the incidental deposit the "lady" checking us in said the reason for it is because people in Skagit County trash the rooms. And she proceeded to tell me that there was no reason for locals to stay here. I was taken aback by that response. If I wanted to stay in a hotel, for any reason, isn't that why hotels are here? And isn't that my prerogative?! Rude!! Staying before there was nothing asked about having to provide my wife's name. This time she insisted it be provided and followed that up with....if I didn't provide it she wasn't going to check us in!! Again, rudely!!!!! Last time I had to provide my AAA card to get the correct rate. This time she was again rude and almost threw my card back at me because she said she didn't need it. The inconsistencies and rudeness of this hotel is unbelievable. She should not be working in a customer service industry if this is how she treats customers. Or maybe she is racist and that's why I was treated so very poorly!

Room 408 on Feb 19,...
