So my godmother is in hospital not doing well at all.I sent my aunt to get coloring books n pencils to give her something to do.she passed away the next day.I went to return the books which mind you were in perfect condition and I had reciept and as I was entering the store the manager(which I didn't know at that moment) was walking out and I noticed followed me back in then approched me in line and asked if I needed help and was being very rude said they dont return books.well I was not told that ever and I shop there regularly and neither was my aunt and on the sign at register it does not state anything about books and when I mentioned that and asked why they dont tell customers that upon purchase she rudely said they have a right to refuse anyone.....excuse me but I feel like I was immediately profiled by the "Store Manager" and treated like some junkie.I have never returned without a receipt and honestly think I've only returned one time ever there with a reciept.I understand there are people out there that take advantage and do stupid things and there is a line to draw but this manager instantly made her mind up about me before I even walked in the door.I will never shop at this micheals again I will go to hobby lobby or JoAnne and if I can't find what I need I'll go without but this story has lost mine and my families business.we are going through a hard enough time right now and I did not need to be treated like that at all specially by a manager.I have worked retail for 15 years and I know customer service and how to treat them .I would love to train her on her cust srvc skills because that's a good way to lose business and if corporate was smart they should do something about this .I can't imagine how other customers are treated based on looks.my mom just died of course I'm not going to be all glamed up and rittzy. She should not be a manager.I couldn't even get her name because she wasnt wearing a nametag.Good luck with walking out satisfied with a smile if your not looking your absolute greatest cux you might just be a junkie if your not........thanks for making things that much more difficult in a already...
Read moreThe cashier couldnât have been any rider or disrespectful. Every item I was going to purchase had been put on the wrong shelf so I though I was getting sale items when they were all full price. Yes, I was surprised but not rude â she was beyond rude, throwing paper around slamming things on the counter and telling me itâs not the cashiers fault- I even said it wasnât her fault but still an issue. When I told her Iâd be calling her manager later, as I was leaving she announced over the speaker that someone was going to call the manager about her. That is what made me mad - I spoke to manager right then and will not ever be shopping there again. Even if I was rude, which I wasnât, that is no way to...
